Absolutely LOVE my new kindle e-reader! Itâs compact, easy to take anywhere, and has a great battery life! Easy to use, easy to access my library and many other Kindle-friendly venues. The page font is crisp, plenty of light and also wonderful dark mode! The price point is excellent! There are lots of nice selections of cases and covers for it online. Love my refurbished Kindle, butâ¦
I would have happily bought a new Kindle 2022, but Amazon didnât have any, so I decided to get a refurbished version for a slightly lower cost. It works great, was easy to set up (I have an Echo so it already knew my WiFi info), and is very easy and intuitive to use (there are also guides when you first turn it on). It took weeks to get here (which seems odd for an Amazon-created product), but I already use it more than the app on my phone.Unfortunately, there is some weird damage to the screen (looks like a circle) when reading in dark mode and low light. Itâs invisible when itâs in light mode, and not as obvious in dark mode in a well-lit room. I realize I could return it, but it took so long to get here and it doesnât distract from reading (it does not impact text), so itâs not worth it for me. Iâm just a bit disappointed that they didnât check/fix this in the refurbishment process. And yes I did clean the screen to ensure it wasnât just a smudge.Itâs also worth noting that it does come with ads on the lock screen, despite not mentioning ads at all on the product page (removing them seems like an easy way to encourage sales of refurbished products). The ads donât bother me, but I know thatâs important for some people.All in all, if youâre looking for a slightly discounted price and donât mind small potential issues or ads, itâs worth getting. I use my Kindle every day.
