This is my third purchase. I’m a rock hauler in Florida and the roads I drive suck. Unless you’re off roading and hitting HARD HARD bumps, your phone won’t fall off. I’ve gone over rough railroad tracks and it’s solid. Only buying another because I left company and forgot to take it out of the truck. Last one I bought in 2022 and i know for a fact that thing is still in use. Don’t sleep on this cheap buy great value mount

Some feedback for shoppers
this is a pretty good product. i wanted to come on here to give a first impression and describe some details that you won’t see on Amazon …. I think Amazon’s ‘listings’ for most of what they sell have some form or another of misleading information, missing information and plenty of spruced up graphic depictions of a product that don’t give the real picture.this holder is pretty compact. once installed, if you pick the correct louver on the vent, you’ll have a sturdy mount after you tighten down the hook. the hook is made of metal, which is good it won’t crack (excessive cold or heat) and adds to a solid installation. I do not use magsafe for charging myself, i haven’t tested the phone without a case directly on the mount yet. but the mount has a smooth soft matte feel to it and is meant to come in contact with the glass on your phone without damaging it.I was surprised to find in the box – a thin disk that contains a magnet. it is black faux leather look and has an adhesive side to it. you would stick this on your phone’s case, around where magsafe would be located on the phone – or you can stick it wherever you want to accommodate how the phone is held on the mount if you don’t use magsafe. the disk is fairly thin and blends nicely with the back of a case like Otterbox Defender in black. this is the route i pursued for using with an iphone 13 pro + otterbox defender case on it.as you can imagine, the phone is heavy enough, with a case it’s even heavier. magnetic strength (with the included disk) is not too strong, not too weak. i sometimes feel like it may slip off the mount and fall during driving, but so far that hasn’t happened, which is good. the magnet on the mount was sufficiently strong enough to keep the phone from rotating. and in my particular case, with an otterbox defender case, pulling the phone towards me to remove it from the mount would also pull slightly on the soft tpu outer shell of the case (reaffirming that magnetic strength is good).but i prefer a little more magnetic pull to feel more secure when driving. it’s not so great while driving to have your phone fall off the mount, or if it’s plugged in, pulling on the charge cable or dangling from it. i would recommend finding a magsafe style ‘halo’ ring that’s meant for this purpose, and can be either stuck onto the back of your phone case or the phone itself, if you want extra attraction.if you plan to use the mount without the disk or a halo ring, if you have a magsafe case, no problem it should work. but if you do not have a magsafe case (no magnets inside the case), then this mount will not work for you.

Great for S21 Ultra
Bought this to replace a rectangular charging mount that did not fit the Magsafe case for my Galaxy S21 Ultra. This mount includes two magnet rings that attach to your bare phone or case if you don’t have a newer iPhone or Magsafe case – put the ring on the outside of your case, or the magnetic bond will be much weaker and may not support your phone. This works exactly how I wanted, allowing free rotation not possible on square or rectangular mounts. Keep in mind you won’t be able to adjust your vent at all, as the mount secures by locking to the vent fins while fully open. Also, if you have individual vent control levers, consider turning off that vent when running heat, as it will overheat your phone. Great product.

Worked great till the adhesive melted
This ~was~ awesome. The MagSafe worked excellently with a MagSafe case, it was strong & the adjustability of the mount is very good in all directions. It’s compact, fits very well in my 2019 Rogue Sport without blocking the dash, but it does block a portion of the vent which isn’t my favorite. I prefer that over a suction cup mount, though.Unfortunately, the adhesive melted due to summer heat (I’m in the northeast, so it’s not 100°f regularly) and now the mount magnet comes off with the phone case or drops the whole thing if you go over a pothole/speed-bump. Truly disappointing because otherwise it worked great up until that point!
