Works perfectly easy to add RAM
I realized I rarely take my laptop anywhere, so I bought this console as a replacement to use in my office. The computer is compact and powerful. I removed the 32GB RAM included and easily added 96 GB DDR5 RAM, which I purchased separately but still came to a total cost of less than half what an equivalent laptop would cost. The memory modules are below the fan. At first, the fan was loud, but I changed the power settings and that stopped.***Update. After adding the additional RAM, I realized the hibernate function stopped working. When I tried to enable it I was getting error code 0xC000007F. I spent many hours trying to figure out how to resolve this error. Nothing worked until I finally learned that the C: drive or your Windows partition drive must have the equivalent amount of free space as the memory you’ve added for Hibernation to work. Thus, I had to shrink a contiguous partition and add it to my C: drive until I had 96GB of free space to get Hibernate to work again. I’m not lowering my rating from 5 stars, but be mindful of this if you upgrade the RAM.

Works great
Works great. I added RAM and an M.2 with no issues. Easy to take apart and reassemble. BIOS picked up the items right away. I also added a 10GB RJ-45 card with no issues. Had some booting problems at first, but after playing with the security features in the BIOS I got OPNSense to load. I am using this as an OPNSense router. Overkill, but it can do anything now, 10GB SFP+, 10GB RJ45, and 2.5GB RJ45 connections. M.2 is fast and plenty of memory. OPNSense works great on this box. It’s quiet and the HDMI adapter and usb ports work great with my KVM switch. A great small PC box for anything you need.

Excellent for a home server, beware of LGA curse
I bought three of these for a “small” Proxmox cluster and sadly, one of them came with a mangled socket on account of its own protector coming loose while in transit and hitting the pins. I asked for a refund and proceeded to buy a new unit. However, the new unit had a different cooler on the back, there was no heatsink for the main NVMe and instead it came with a cooler for the VRM, which IMO is not as useful as the previous one. Also, the new unit did not come with the U.2 adapter, which is just unacceptable. All in all, these perform quite well, they come with 2 PCIEx4 NVMe slots (at least per the manual), allowing me to create a 6-drive Ceph cluster. They do support 96GB of RAM, but could not find the option inside the BIOS to make it run at 5600Mts, as advertised; I’m limited to 5200Mts.

This thing rocks
There are enough reviews all over that I don’t need to explain the technical details of this machine, or some of the quirks. Suffice it to say it rocks, and provides incredible features for the price. Mine is running a DIY TrueNAS with a separate DAS plus quite a few apps and it’s been rock solid. Intel based means Plex HW transcoding works great, and this is also extremely well equipped for custom router (pfSense/OPNsense) duties too.

Sudden failure, very poor support.
This device worked well for 4 months. It then suddenly died and would no longer power on. The power supply would blink when connected to the device. Support was initially helpful, it was outside the Amazon return window so needed to go through Minisforum. The emails were slow but they eventually agreed on a replacement unit. They asked me to ship the defective unit back which I did on my own dime. They confirmed receipt and said they shipped the replacement unit back but did not provide any tracking number. The unit never arrived, I waited 2 weeks and asked for an update via email and got only a reply saying the shipment failed and they would need to try again. That was the last email and it has been 2 weeks since that one. I have repeatedly asked for an update via an email and am now being completely ignored. I now have neither a functional unit or the original defective unit and am currently negotiating with Amazon directly for a resolution. I am an I.T. Manager and have purchased many of these units for commercial use but will now need to look elsewhere. I can understand a defective product but the support is absolutely unacceptable and I cannot in good faith recommend this to anyone.Update: Amazon originally agreed to refund the product but then backpedaled and said there was nothing to be done. Be warned, if this device suddenly breaks, do not trust their support. You will have no device and no replacement with no help from Amazon if it happens outside of their official return window.

Amazing machine and excellent customer support
âI picked up this compact powerhouse to bring my 2D animation projects to life, and for months, it handled everything flawlessly in my home studio. Then, unexpectedly, it refused to power on. I reached out to customer support with low expectations, especially given my remote location on a tiny island off the coast of Africa. To my surprise, their customer service exceeded all my expectations! Not only were they quick to respond, but they also genuinely went above and beyond to help. They initially offered me a replacement modelâan amazing gestureâbut unfortunately, they couldnât deliver to my location. Instead, they arranged a refund, which I immediately reinvested in an upgraded model (the 13900H) because I couldnât imagine a better fit for my needs. If I could give 6 stars out of 5, I would. Their exceptional support made me feel valued as a small-time content creator, and thatâs a rare find in customer service. Highly recommended!â

Great little powerhouse
This is a tiny powerhouse. Unbelievable connectivity – 2x 10Gb SFP+, 2x 2.5Gbe RJ45 and 2x USB4! Runs completely silent. I bought to run Opnsense firewall on it, but decided to use it as my primary workstation.

This little guy packs a lot of power! Numerous expansion options combined with super fast thru put makes this a perfect solution for my nas and virtual environments! ( I bought three ). So far everything has worked out of the box with no issues. Iâve had the units for about 2 weeks now.
