Works with Google Fi, Great Budget Phone with High End F.eatures.
Great phone, especially for the price. I got this for my wife for $119.00 on sale. She broke her old phone and had boost Mobile before like I used to. I got her this phone and put her on my Google Fi plan. It is 100% compatible with Fi. The screen is vibrant, the fingerprint reader is extremely sensitive, and the phone is quite snappy. Compared to my Pixel 2 it is not far off, other than playing graphic intensive games, but it still holds its own very well comarably. The battery runs down quicker than my Pixel 2 which will last me all day on a full charge, however my wife does alot more browsing and listens to audio books and music all day most days, so it probably would have about the same if it was used moderately. It does charge fairly quick as well. About 70% in 20-30 minutes, and 45-60 for a full charge. All in all it is a great phone, it is unlocked for any compatible network, and works with Google Fi which is great. Camera is great as well. It gets updates frequently, and is on Android 9 Pie. It has a headphone jack also which my Pixel 2 lacks, and is USB C charged. The Alexa feature is great and can be connected to smart home devices or used to run your phone. It also can be disabled. All in all I highly recommend this phone. Especially for the price of your looking for a high end smart phone without the high price tag. It is a steal. I do however suggest you order a case with the phone since it is all glass. I got a cheap transparent, side armored case for $11 dollars that looks and works great. If your looking for a good budget Android phone that’s unlocked for your network, the. This is it!

Best budget phone hands down! Read this review
I love this phone. It’s solid and build quality is excellent. I’m coming from an iPhone. I’ve had iPhones from the 3, 4, 5, 5s, and 6s and not going back. Android Oreo comes on this phone. The OS is gorgeous. I love it and for the price? Unbelievable. The phone is slick. Very slippery but I love that. I put a case on it so it doesn’t slip. This phone is fast. Very fast. SD card slot. NFC. The size is about the same as the G5. It’s perfect in my opinion. Not as huge as the iPhone plus or the Nexus 6p. Those phones are way to big for me. You can one hand this phone. Camera takes great pictures and video. 4k recording too. Wide lense is great. It charges very fast too. Apparently this phone is completely submergeable but I’m afraid to try it. There really isn’t anything I don’t like about this phone. I think it’s perfect. Oh and let me tell you about the fingerprint sensor. It’s amazingly fast and accurate. I’ve never experienced anything like it. The G5 wasn’t as fast and accurate. This x4 unlocks the phone instantly every time. I’m amazed. For a budget phone you cannot go wrong with this one…also Moto’s default skin is great. I love it. It’s almost stock Android with minor tweaks like the home clock. Oh and the voice to text is superb. Blows Siri to smithereens. I could talk about how much I love this phone all day. Get it you’ll love it.

Initial thoughts: Very good to great phone, super deal at these prices.
Disclaimer: this is a replacement for an aging Galaxy S5, so maybe my baseline expectations were a little on the low side? After a few days with this phone, I am still impressed. Phone is running Oreo 8.1.0 and hums along very nicely. It is a bit of an adjustment from the old S5 to Oreo, with the largest issue being the lack of badging in the launch bar, the Galaxy had # of unread emails available on the icon in the launch bar. Actually, that is an Android issue, not the phone. One challenge for me when upgrading was to find a good email client for MS Exchange. My old Samsung had a very good email client from Samsung. The Moto X4 uses Google Gmail client which lost a lot of functionality for me (ex: Rich Text editing, bullet lists, etc). After some research I found ‘9 Folders’ email client and I am a very happy camper once again.Battery life seems to be excellent, at this moment I am 10 hours since last charge, ~1.5 hours of screen time and 2.5 hours of voice calls and I still have 60% battery remaining. Old phone even with a new battery would have been <20% remaining on it's best day.Fingerprint Sensor: I got into a phone battle with an iPhone user at the office today. Who can unlock faster with the finger print sensor? Moto x4 about 70% of the time. Iphone got a little closer if you woke it up first. The Moto x4 unlocks super fast with almost no misreads. I am impressed!Moto Actions: Again, maybe I am easily impressed. Phone has two gestures, one for the flashlight, and one for the camera. Both seem very reliable. These are a great idea, it takes way too long to unlock and find the app to turn the light on, instead I can just shake the phone and get my flashlight or camera. We also did the phone battle for the flashlight, Moto x4 won hands down.**Note: these gestures don't work when the phone is in your pocket (another good idea). However, the see through Lenovo flip cover kills these functions because the phone sees the cover and thinks it is in your pocket all the time.Amazon Ads:Saw a lot of reviews and complaints about the Amazon ads. Not sure what is going on, but I have no ads. I was able to hide any amazon apps I didn't want, and I don't get any unsolicited pop-ups from Amazon. My Conclusion:Snappy interface with a close to pure Android experience. Hardware seems to be top notch. I don't think you can touch this level of performance in this price range anywhere else. Excellent value.
