Will the pad or phone gets hot?

Why the product does not work?
Please check 1) whether the phone is placed on the correct position, 2) whether the phone itself supports wireless charging, 3) whether the type-c of the charger is tightly connected (observe the status of the LED on the side).
How to align it?
The wireless charger’s charging coil is in the center, so you just need to align your phone’s wireless charging module to the center of the pad. The wireless charger module of different brands of phones may not always be in the middle of the phone.
What power adapter is needed?
18W and above is recommended for a better charging experience. Lower power adapters can also be used, but will reduce the charging speed proportionally.

It works with Pixel 8 phone
My first wireless charging pad. What took me so long.The charging pad is supposed to be laying flat against the phone. The question was if the silly bump in back of the Pixel 8 that encloses the lenses, officially named the “Camera Bar,” would get in the way of a wireless charging pad. “I thought” the lumpy Camera Bar would render a wireless charging pad imperative, which is why I delayed purchasing one.I just wanted to say that this charging pad works fine and easy with the Pixel 8. When the edge of the pad slides up to within 1 inch of the Camera Pad lump, the wireless charging kicks in. Keep sliding closer to the lump, nudge the edge of the charging pad comfortably right up against the lump, and it continues charging. So that’s a 1 inch range that this charging pad will work, which means that placement is not critical to get it charging. In fact, I just pushed the edge of the charging pad up and on top of the lump (which is 1/8 or 1/4 inch high?), and it kept charging, even though most of the pad had space between it and the back of the phone.In fact, the lump makes it easier to position the charging pad into position. Just nudge the pad up against the lump.So, nothing can go wrong go wrong.I like to use a 0.5 Amp charger which works with the phone and this charging pad. Also, a 1 amp charger and a 2.4 Amp charger in my tookbox, and they work with the pad. All non-quick chargers. It seems to take a few minutes before the phone acknowledges the 2.4 amp charger when it’s hooked up to the pad; I don’t know why, your Pixel may vary.I like to baby my batteries by charging as slow as possible, so I mostly use the 0.5 amp charger. Indoors, I have no quick chargers, if you can imagine such a thing. If the battery is running really low, I might use one of the higher current chargers, which is sufficiently “quick” for me. I rarely feel the battery heating up with a 0.5 amp charge. But, lots more heat from the higher charge rates.I’m using the Accubattery app to display (in Notifications) the current going into (or out-of) the battery. The current is the same whether I plug the charging cable into the phone’s USB jack or if it connects wirelessly.I caution against the trend towards charging as quickly as possible. Marketing departments can eat my shorts. If you have hours in which you could gently charge your battery, it’s a disservice to charge it in just 25 minutes. The warmth coming out of the phone is coming from the battery heating up, which shaves off some battery lifetime, but could have been helped by charging slowly. Amazon still sells one old-style, USB, 0.5 Amp charger, item # B071V3DC9R. I have the whole variety of non-quick-chargers from 0.5 to 2.4 Amps, but I mostly use the 0.5er. “Non-quick” means the charger only put out 5 volts, but an assortment of non-quick chargers can deliver different amounts of current. Quick chargers will increase the voltage applied to your phone to push even more power into your battery than the most powerful non-quick charger would be able to, resulting in even higher temperatures. Even in the car, I have an antique 0.5 Amp cigarette-lighter charger, but I confess to also having a quick charger in the mobile, just in case.Oh yeh, and I’m changing my habits by dropping the phone onto this wireless charging pad more, which stresses the phone’s USB connector less.

Works well, nice finish that is softer than a metal pad
I have an OLD phone that I keep for use as an alarm. It had reached the point where you pretty much had to keep it plugged in as it didn’t hold a charge for long, which is fine as it’s by my bed. Until it stopped fully charging, and even when plugged in would stop charging from the cord and then go dead. In a last ditch effort to limp this along a little longer, I got this pad. I liked that it has a “linen” cover, not just a metal pad. I had hopes that it would charge my old alarm clock more effectively, but wasn’t holding my breath.But it worked.My phone (which was only charging to 80%, is now up to 100%. It is holding that charge better now, so I can leave it “unplugged” for a few minutes without it failing instantly or randomly. It’s not too big, so it fits decently on my nightstand, and I do love the linen feel to the top, it makes it nice. It is also able to charge through the silicone cover I have on my phones (new and old), which is nice.Taking off one star because the cord it came with is SO SHORT that it’s useless for anything–it’s a C to C cable, that is maybe 2 inches. There is nowhere in my life that this cord would ever be adequate. Put in at least a 6 inch cord, or just leave it out and drop a $1 off the price. The second is because there is a GREEN light that emits to tell you it is charging. FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING PURE AND HOLY, STOP putting GREEN and BLUE and WHITE lights on things that go in bedrooms. You wonder why people don’t sleep well–these lights aren’t helping. If it was a red light, it would at least be less intrusive and harming to sleep. But no…you put a green light, and one that is hard to mask. It’s not a lot of light, but it’s enough that it illuminates my nightstand. So, one star off for those two design flaws.Otherwise, it’s a great little charging pad. I’ll likely buy another for work as it’s so easy and helpful.
