Great laptop. WiFi driver is terrible and causes lag in games, but there is a fix
The main reason I bought this particular laptop was due to the large SSD size, large ram size, strong CPU, as well as the sale at the time which I got it at about $300 off—so it was a great deal for the features I was getting. I’ve never heard of NIMO before, but from what I’ve seen from their website, they’re a relatively new and small company from DE that makes computers.ImpressionThe laptop is very fast and responsive. It’s very quiet, however, the fan does crank up and get louder when doing something strenuous, like playing games, downloading software, or updating. The laptop also runs for about 3 hours when on constant use. I usually keep it plugged in with the charger while playing games since it wouldn’t even last an hour before reaching low power.Speakers are at the bottom left and right hand sides and it’s nice and loud. Vents are at the bottom and also at the back, which sends heat towards the bottom of the screen and makes it hot. This is noticeable when playing games or whenever the laptop is running hot.GamingThis laptop uses AMD Radeon 680M, which uses integrated graphics. Despite that, it still runs games well. I’m able to run certain games on Ultra settings and have some decent FPS. On higher graphics, the GPU reaches up to 70 degrees Celsius (according to AMD Adrenaline).WiFi Driver Issue + FixWhen playing online games, the internet connection becomes unstable which causes the ping to go really high. This issue only occurs if your internet modem is in a different room. If you’re playing in the same room with your modem, then you probably shouldn’t run into any issues. For me, when playing Marvel Rivals, it went up to 700 ping and made the game unplayable as everything was lagging out of control. It wasn’t my internet connection as another computer in the same room was able to play the game smoothly. After some googling, I found that this is a common issue from the built-in WiFi driver— RX616. Not sure if NIMO’s other products uses the same WiFi driver, but this is an easy fix. My screenshot shows what you can do to quickly fix it. You can do either the following:-Disable Roaming by: Right-click Start > Device Manager > Network Adapters > right-click RZ616 WiFi > Properties > Advanced > Roaming Aggressiveness > 1. Disabled-Refresh WiFi driver by: On RZ161 WiFi, right click and click on disable device/enable in the Device Manager-Google an update to the driver-Buy a WiFi USB dongleConclusionOverall, this is a really great laptop. The Ryzen 9 CPU with 32GB of ram seems overkill for regular use, but that does help with making the laptop work faster. It starts up fast, loads web pages fast, and starts games fast. The only issue is the WiFi driver would need to be fixed if you plan on playing online games with it.*Pros:*-Works very fast-Thin-Large screen-Great screen quality-Runs games very well*Cons:*-Can run hot during more demanding processes (aka, playing games, downloading software/updates), but that might just be the norm for AMD/laptops in general-Heat from the back vent can heat up the bottom part of the screen-The WiFi driver is terrible, but is mostly noticeable when playing online games. However there are several fixes as mentioned above-No Ethernet port

    Definite keeper – Great Laptop!
As an IT pro for 30 years, I have always had name-brand stuff. This came up on my feed, and it had the specs I was looking for. I have to say, for the price and performance, this laptop is top notch. It has a good weight , runs remarkably fast and cool. The 17″ screen is fantastic, and the built-in fingerprint reader works flawlessly. 32 GB of RAM with a 1 TB SSD drive. Great value for a great-performing laptop. I was not paid for my endorsement.

The best notebook I have worked with. And Linux friendly too.
There are so many things I have seen about this notebook that surprised me and in a good way. If you need to get into it to change NVMe drive or memory, it is easy to open and access. The layout is clean and it appears that many of the inside components can be removed and replaced with a screwdriver which means it is repairable. This notebook appears to be well thought through with the customer in mind. It works great with Linux Mint. It is fast and well equipped for the price. It has a webcam which I couldn’t determine from the website. The only negative I found was only one NVMe drive slot. I would like to have had two, but I can use an external or USB drive.I have never been a big fan of notebooks over the years, but this one is a game changer.

    Best laptop!
I’m looking for a amazing laptop and I find this one, this product meet my expectations!Easy to update. Appearance is sleek, very thin, loud speakers. So far, so good. Comes with 2-year warray.I bought this laptop for my son to use at college. He wanted a smaller, lighter laptop than his previous one to make it easier to pack around campus, so this was perfect for his needs. He has reported that the computer was quick and performed well for completion of his research and other assignments.

It’s ok but it’s not a gaming laptop
I’ve had this for about a month and it’s okay for a work laptop but not for gaming. I have tried to post a thorough review with a video and pictures but it keeps getting rejected so I’ll keep this basic.I am replacing a 17″ Dell laptop with this computer because the Dell has gotten too obsolete to do many work tasks with, but it is still fine for internet browsing and basic things I do online. I priced an updated Dell equivalent and it would be about $1800 minimum so I was hoping to cut corners with this because 1, it has a lot of storage, 2, was listed for gaming i.e. high output, and 3, it is the same size as my old laptop.I bought this on Black Friday so it was cheaper than normal, and because it was listed as a gaming laptop I stupidly assumed it would have high output (so in theory it should be a good editing computer). There was also a literal ticking clock on this (black Friday deal) so I pulled the trigger without much research, which is completely my own fault. The storage is great for the price, but I’ve had issues with editing programs, especially videos. It’s excellent for browsing the internet and writing blogs etc. but can’t handle other projects I’ve tried, or at least not smoothly. I’m not a gamer so that’s a moot point for me but that is what it’s listed as so if that’s what you’re wanting, maybe keep looking.Another real issue is the speaker volume, it is not great even at this price point. They are not very loud and the sound is meh. I usually use headphones but I tried to watch a Christmas movie today with relatives and it was abysmal. Overall I have mixed feelings about this purchase and I’m not sure I would recommend this unless you only need a general computer.Pros:Smooth typing experience (very quiet and easy keystrokes, etc.)Large memoryLarge screen size, keyboard size, etc.Easy/Quick boot-up and loads programs quicklyNo real bloatware… so happy with this! Can handle everyday tasks/work with no issues. (to be fair, if this is what you will use this for primarily, this is an excellent LT)The video quality is good/excellentType C chargerLightweight and sleek, this is dumb but.. the logo is cute. If it has to be no-name, this is the way to do it.Cons:Not for gamingLow outputNot perfect for video editing/productivity IMO (for something that is supposed to be equivalent to an Intel 12 or up)WiFi lagMediocre volume. Volume is low even when on the highest setting (the sound quality is good/serviceable)Needed hours of updating out of the box (this didn’t bother me but Windows 11 wasn’t installed)The battery doesn’t last nearly as long as expected, I only use it plugged in because it drains fast, not a deal breaker for me though because my Dell was the same, but my coworkers get more battery life and I suppose I was too hopeful.Produces a lot of heat when running big programs/multitasking
