Honest accurate listing and fair price
All specs met.Received excellent assistance.Honest accurate listing and fair price.NOTES:After several months of use I discovered a problem.I will define this problem specifically but it is quite likely its effect is much wider.Some…. Hidden Object Games, (simple basic games that require no special video card) will give your Mac Pro a COMPLETE SYSTEM FAILURE. (computer is completely unresponsive, you are locked out)You will need to hold down the power button until the computer shuts down and then restart.Read again, I did not say “all” games, I said “some”.The solution is to reboot using OS X Default Graphics Driver. Now the specifics. The problem was PROVEN using Christmas Stories Nutcracker by Elephant Games purchased from Big Fish. The web driver is (WebDriver-378.05.05.25f11) running Sierra 10.12.6.I have also had troubles with other simplistic games using the Nvidia supplied web driver.Evidently, Nvidia did not do such a good job with some drivers.Professional applications (such as Adobe) use the web driver and CUDA satisfactorily.Adobe Premier Pro renders some effects live time with the K5000.Before you go ballistic because your computer has become completely unresponsive, try using the OS X Default Driver after a reboot.ADDENDUMThere is another problem that has happened. The problem does not apply to all K5000 video cards. One of the cards I bought here on Amazon refuses to allow install of Mojave. It is the exact same card I mentioned previously. The refusal to install is based upon its ROM.Any minor error with the ROM and Mojave will refuse to install.(other K5000 cards install Mojave just fine)If you have that error, you will have another error. That error involves sleep and appears as pmlock waited too long.Basically your Mac Pro will never actually be allowed to sleep and will just keep restarting over and over again. It gets worse….Not only will that prematurely kill your Mac but the strangest thing you have ever seen will also happen. The light on the power button will indicate it is asleep by going dim to bright as normal. However this dim to bright sleep light continues while your Mac is completely awake. The pmlock waited too long appeared in Mojave 10.14.4 and 10.14.5.It was reportedly fixed in 10.14.6.As it works out, it was fixed in 10.14.6 but the K5000 I mention here, makes it re-appear.I tested the verified flaw using a Sapphire 7950.I also tested the K5000 with Tech Tool. (no errors)Bottom line, a flashed K5000 that “looks” like a K5000 and reads like a K5000 and even has an EFI boot screen that refuses to allow Mojave to install WILL give you more than one problem.Next chore…. test a known factory K5000 to see if the pmlock problem goes away.

Attention – this card IS NOT Mac version!
I installed this card (that I bought as MAC 4GB…), and it works, BUT I see no boot screen and thus can’t upgrade my Mac Pro 5.1 Mid 2010 to Catalina or even Mojave.Sad…I asked a question and seller answer me:”There are two versions of Quadro K5000 card, windows version and Mac version. You said you saw no boot screen, which means your card is for-windows version. You need to upgrade to Mac version to fix your issue.”Is it OK that I bought it here is as MAC version, guys?

Great service and product
The Graphics card works great in my 2012 Mac Pro. Now I can run dark mode as the original card was not compatible. Swapping the cards was a cinch: The instructions that Epic provided were great. After running some updates however, I kept getting an error that the CUDA driver was out of date every time the Mac restarted. After many online searches and failed attempts ta solution, I called Don at Epic. he answered the phone and was very instructive on the phone and solved my issue – with one phone call and no robo-machines. He explained the CUDA driver is only used for special apps and I likely didn’t need it for what I was doing. The card performs excellent with its native driver. Great service! Would buy again from Epic.
