Best case ever
I love this case, completely encloses your phone. This is my fifth of this case. Rugged, stylish and secures your phone Ike a vault. Comes this a belt clip that the phone snaps into. Will keep your phone looking brand new. Must make sure when shopping for it to look for the Defender series.

Excellent protection for your iPhone
I’ve always had an OtterBox Defender on my iPhones over the years because I like the protection it gives the phone in the event you drop it. It also makes it easier for me to hold onto the phone because a naked iPhone can be slick and slippery.

Good protection, but the tradeoff is visibility
This case has an integrated clear plastic protector which your phone sits behind. I.e., there is an air gap between the case’s front protector and your phone. Consequently, you may have to press harder than you are used to — especially if your phone has its own protector adhered to its face — and the screen is VERY hard to read outdoors due to the little scratches and imperfections that inevitably develop in the plastic. In addition, the bulkiness of the case makes it hard to target the home key of my iPhone SE. With my old Otterbox, which was less bulky and did not have an integrated screen protector, I could kind of forget the case was there; it was easy to find the home button and press it with only moderate pressure, e.g. if my phone is on a table. With this case, I have to pick the phone up off the table in order to get a proper fix on the home key. I do feel that this case offers great protection, and I am prone to drops while out walking the dog, so I’ll keep it until the difficulty reading the screen outdoors is too annoying, then probably go back to the style without the screen protector.

Very sturdy build. Nice triple layer protection. Belt clip is great. put your phone in the clip with the screen facing in and you will never scratch your screen protector. I’ve tried many different cheaper cases that weren’t Otterbox that didn’t come with the belt clip and of course you slip your phone into your pocket with your keys and your screen protector gets scratched.It has a stand as well that is very handy to prop up your phone so you can eat lunch and watch Netflix at the same time.Very nice construction. Well thought out design.Not too expensive as well.

This is the second Otter Defender I’ve owned. Never had an issue with it, and has probably saved my phone a dozen times or more. Nothing worse than driving around on your tractor and finding your phone sitting in the dirt and mud and still works perfectly, except for dropping it in the snow for 20 minutes. The case is very grippy (Not sure if that is a real word, but you can figure out what it means). Even with wet gloves on, it won’t slip out of my hand. Would I buy this again? Yes, the Otter is standard equipment for any phone I will own.
