Great power supply for the price!
Bought this to be able to bench test car audio equipment. Plenty of power and works very well. Voltage is constant and more than enough amps for my use.

Works well
I have been happy with this product over the 4 years I have owned it. I have not noticed problematic acoustic or RF noise. I have used it indoors and have not had an issue with overheating when powering a 20 watt mobile radio.

HOLDS IT’S VOLTAGE AND GREAT FOR THE RV
GREAT P/S FOR HOME OR RV for the radios. Bought for a 100w Icom and it holds it volts during CW carrier hold-down. NICE P/S !

Absolutely Love it for Powering my Subs!
First of all, for all you saying the fan is too loud…you have a strange version of loud. My cooling fan turned on full blast when I turned it on for the first time, and my amp went into protect mode. What did I do? Cry about it and return it? No. I turned it off and back on and it worked like a charm. 🙂 I don’t what yours is doing but my cooling fan is running at a very quiet, slow speed that you can barely hear.I am using the power supply to power a 1600 watt max amp and two Pioneer subs with 600 watts rms each. They are the 3003 with whatever identifying letters. DVC. Search “Pioneer 3003” and you’ll find them. When I have the music turned up loud enough to shake things on the wall, my Kill-A-Watt meter plugged into the wall shows that the power supply is drawing about 100 watts. I must have an extremely efficient amp? This power supply works great for subs if you have an amp that doesn’t suck power. I figure that I can go up to about 300 watts drawn before I start to worry about the power supply.Very very happy with the purchase. I will follow up if anything bad happens to the power supply, but it is working like a charm. I’m saddened by all the bad reviews on this. It is BY FAR the best deal on the market for power supplies. Thank you for such a great product!!!

A very capable reliable power supply
I have two of these power supplies. The first one has been in use for more than five years and I recently purchased a second one. These are excellent priced, very good, and sturdy power supplies, capable of stedly delivering high current. I gave a 4 stars rating (out of a 5 maximum) for two reasons: 1) the main switch power connector is not durable (I had to replace it in my first power supply and I see the same bad switch in the second power supply); 2) the cooling fan is unnecessarily on all the time (there is no thermostat control), and this creates unnecessary noise. All in all I recommend this power supply, and I would continue to buy it as needed.

Does the job very well.
Using this to power a HAM radio that draws around 10 Amps on high power. This power supply doesn’t even blink, it instead sends the power needed to blast some RF into the universe and proclaims my call sign to be good as gold! Awesome, I tell you. This power supply really Pyles it on!

Well built power supply
I bought this to use on my test bench to power two-way radios and other electronic items. I am impressed by the construction of it and the voltage regulation is very good. I’m not a big fan on the plastic nuts used to tighten wires to the output terminals but they do hold them in place. I bought a sets of heavier test leads with banana plugs and alligator clips which work well. I would have liked it to have had an Anderson Power Pole connector on it and an amp meter but for the price I would recommend this unit. I’ve not noticed any fan noise coming from it yet either.

Just what was needed
This is an effective 13.8v 30a power supply. No extra bells and whistles, just power. The 30 amp capacity is especially appreciated!

I bought the PSV-300 30 Amp supply for my husband, heâs always used second hand Pyramid power supplies and even restored one about 8 years ago. So knowing that heâs had such good luck with the second hand Pyramid power supplies I pulled the trigger and bought him a new power supply. The shipping was quite fast, I ordered the power supply on November 26th/2020 and was due to arrive on November 30th/2020 but to my surprise it arrived the morning of November 28th/2020!! When the power supply arrived I sent my husband out to the porch to get the package and to open it, well he did and lit right up! When he took the power supply out of the Amazon shipping box he was quite shocked that it was so light in weight, he said itâs much lighter than the older PS-21KX 20 Amp power supply he restored and is currently in service. So far this new PSV-300 seems to be working flawlessly to power his 2m VHF AllStar node, he says that he is quite happy with it!! Both him and I would definitely recommend to any Amateur operator on a budget!! I give five stars!!

This came with a US plug it would be good to mention this so customers could get an adaptor plug. I have tried it on a Yeasu Ft-891 on receive mode only as I have yet to install a transmit antenna. I will update this review at a later stage

I needed a DC power supply to run some sensitive electronics. This unit appears to fit the need perfectly. The output voltage is exactly 13.8v, which is what it claims to output. While I did not run a 30A load on it, it seems like it would handle it, though like any supply, I would only run 80% continuously. For my purposes 30A is overkill, but nice to have more than too little. It is fan cooled, and the fan will run louder as load increases. If you find the fan loud I think it would be easy to replace with a better fan for only a couple dollars. For me it was not loud at my normal load. The overall build seems solid, and the output connectors will accommodate different types of connections like banana plugs or simple bare wire. I am happy with the purchase.

Is it supposed to take 24 days ship with in Canada/ US? Ordered: May 26 Received: June 18You can actually purchase compact inverters in the automotive section of WalMart/ Canadian Tire. They function the same as this Pyramid PSV300 Heavy-duty 30 Amp Switching Power Supply. However, the small inverters (like in WalMart/ Canadian Tire) probably don’t efficiently bridge-rectify power as nicely as the PSV300. Because, I’m into hobby electronics I’ve come to learn this. (Its the difference between full-wave rectification/ half-wave). The PSV300 likely has a higher amperage rating too.I don’t know what other customers are using this for, but I am using this for my base station CB rig. Yes, it the PSV300 apparently works well.CB radio manufacturers refuse to offer an affordable base station radio that plugs into the 120VAC wall outlet. So, this creates complexity and cost to the customer. So, the solution is to purchase a Pyramid PSV300 to power a mobile CB radio.Oh, and if you’re considering hooking up a linear amp to you base station CB, that is going to need a power supply too. (Just don’t exceeds the legal power limit. wink wink) So, you might as well purchase two Pyramid PSV300s while you’re at it. (I’ve watched videos on YouTube where a single power supply, like the PSV300, was insufficient to power both a mobile CB radio and linear amp.)Its frustrating, because good advice on setting up a base station is seemingly scarce. And, Amazon provides little in the way of affordable pre-conceived base station rigs.If one of the popular brands manufactured an affordable base station with built-in power supplies, hundreds of dollars in purchasing power supplies could be avoided. Thus, purchasing a Pyramid PSV300 would be unnecessary.
