Was a little skeptical. But it turned out fine.
I have a 2016 Samsung Galaxy Tab of the same size. It works perfectly well, but the battery life is getting a little bit shorter. With this newer tablet, running Android 14 vs 12, like the older tablet, the battery is definitely lasting longer, than before.I had a spare phone number I don’t use much on a sim card. I put it in the tablet and now I connect directly to cellular data, when wifi is not available or I don’t want to risk using it in public.

Excellent high quality tablet, great size for Lyft and Uber apps
Wow – like new, I love it. I bought this especially for using Lyft and Uber – need a big screen size because of vision problems. Haven’t tried it yet with the sim card, I’ll report back on this in a few days. [Yes, sim card works great – see 3rd paragraph.]I buy a lot of renewed/refurbished products on Amazon including PCs, always selecting the best-rated seller, and always selecting Excellent or Like New condition. Haven’t had to return anything yet. In this case the original 3rd party seller had poor ratings, so I searched the page for “Other sellers on Amazon” and bought this from Cellmigo. Also over the following week the price kept falling, so I contacted them and they immediately credited me the difference – thank you, Cellmigo! (Just fyi for returns, buyer needs to be a Prime member, otherwise there could be a restocking charge.)07/27/2024: I bought a T-Mobile sim card and bought TM’s cheapest monthly plan for $15 per month. Service is working great. Now I have internet access everywhere. For example I could be in the park browsing data or using the Lyft app even though no wifi connection is available. (When wifi is available, switch back and forth between wifi and 5G by turning wifi on or off. The tablet will say “5G” upper right when you are in 5G.)

I was told this tablet, IMEI #, and model number was compatible through Spectrum, by the Spectrum store. I purchased it and took it to the store to have it added to my plan only to be told that although their system says it is compatible it is NOT when purchased from Amazon. It is only compatible when purchased through a provider such as Spectrum, T Mobile, Verizon. The tablet itself seem very nice but wasn’t able to be used as intended, because the provider, Spectrum, wouldn’t support it. Nice tablet but was unable to be used. It had to be returned.
