Great deal for real Sennheiser sound.
I was pleasantly surprised to hear decent sound quality for a product that has been discontinued by Sennheiser. It’s nice to have a nice lightweight headset without the pain in the rear coily cord that comes with the Sennheiser HD 280 pro headphones. The sound quality is very good especially considering the fact that these are made with thin wires. I have purchased Pro Audio headphones for 4x the cost as these that had extremely poor sound quality compared to these. I use them for mixing my sound on my MPC one, and really, they are much more comfortable than my HD280 pro model, and like I stated before, with a nice long cord that isnt coiled to get tangled up in everything. I actually prefer these to my HD280 pro model due to the good sound, comfort, and longer cable. It’s too bad Sennheiser discontinued these, but maybe they’ll come out with a pair with a more sturdy cord. That is the only downside is the thin cord. I see future problems with the durability of the cord on these, but we’ll just have to wait and see. Sennheiser has always made quality products. These are not noise cancelling, but they are stil good enough to use for professional mixdowns on my MPC One.

    Great budget headphones
These are comfortable and the sound quality is great. Cord is long which is both a blessing and a curse. I no longer feel tethered 3 feet from my laptop, but it’s so long I keep most of it wrapped up so it won’t catch on anything. Foam earpieces can make your ears feel hot, but you can buy covers to stop this. These are not noise cancelling so you’ll get bleed through room ambience. Otherwise about the best you can get for the money.

    Cheap, Comfortable, Sound great.
Oh boy are these cheap, and that is not a bad thing.I’ve been using these a couple of weeks now and it’s incredible. Now I’m sure what I’m getting out of this is what people call the “v sound” with boosted top and bottom end, but it’s some of the most incredible sound I’ve gotten from a pair of headphones. I’m not an audiophile. As long as what I’m using isn’t bluetooth I’m generally fine, but I’m still going to love a real good sound.I’ve had headphones more expensive than these that both fit and sounded worse than these. The main things I’m worried about are the wire and how strong the headphones themselves are. I’ll have to be careful with the wire for sure, but these aren’t going anywhere that anything could possible snap them.Noise cancelling? Nah man. They don’t let everything in by any means, they’re not open back. It’s not letting everything in and it’s not letting everything out. But I hear more things through these than I have in like the last 5 pairs of headphones I’ve owned. This isn’t a bad thing. I would often be hard to get the attention of because of it. I can hear what’s going on around me but it’s not going to ruin my experience with anything. You can do a lot worse than these for 30 bucks. You can do worse than these for 100 bucks. These are cheap headphones that don’t sound like garbage and fit *comfortably* for cheap. Yeah I can safely recommend these.

Right Side Does Not Work Properly
I bought these to replace some Sennheiser HD 202 headphones that finally wore out. I was so sad because the 202 headphones were such great quality and were highly affordable. Apparently, they do not sell them anymore. These cost almost twice as much. They are very comfortable and the sound quality is good, but the right headphone doesn’t work properly. It sounds muffled for a large range of sounds. The left side sounds great. If the right side was not muffled, I would give them 5 stars as the sound quality in the left side is quite good for the price range. I assume there was a quality control issue. They still sound okay for most stuff, but they don’t work at all when watching videos with binaural audio.

Good sound quality for the price
I originally thought they had bad sound quality but I just had a bad connector for my monitor. these headphones are great for 50 dollars. More than great. Good job, sennheiser engineers. you should be proud.

These things are impressive for the price
I bought these on sale because they’re no longer being produced. I just needed a pair of wired headphones for work and I looked for a budget pair of headphones by a brand I would at least trust. I stumbled across these and looked up the review prior to purchasing on audiophile websites and the headphones had decent reviews.I bought them and I am impressed. Clear sound for all frequencies. Punchy clear bass but not too overwhelming. I am extremely impressed for less than $30, the quality of the sound these produce. I will say the ear cups are bit uncomfortable but they may take time to break in and the plastic frame/construction seems a bit cheap, but I mean it’s entry headphones.I do not regret.

The older recorded music is benefited by these phones with better clarity and low distortion
The rating system for headphones leaves much to be desired. The HD 206 headphone is one of the most satisfying headphones that I have ever owned. It’s frequency response goes very low as well as very high without harshness. The amount of bass is properly balanced. The 206’s perform very well with any genre of music and voices. The 206’s clean up vocals especially opera singers. The older recorded music is benefited by these phones with better clarity and low distortion. They work very well with my mp3 players as well as my iPhone and iPad mini. I would rate them as a five but there are many very good headphones made today which are much more expensive and better sounding. But what is better? The 206’s represents the music accurately. I did plug them directly into my computer’s sound card. They did not do that well because the soundcards in most computers are not that good. The source which drives these headphones need to be quality for quality results. I call these phones my smog lifters. I am keeping them but I own two other very good phones too.

Headphones exceed pricepoint. Got it while it was on sale, and its great for listening to music, watching videos, etc. The wire is really long, though that can get in the way, it won’t pull on you if you have to get up briefly. I can wear them for long hours, and I wear glasses which is great as well. The headphones fit comfortably over my ears and don’t clamp down on my head. Sound depth is lacking however, so don’t expect great bass or trebles.

These are excellent headphones with a full dynamic range. They are great value for money. Being wired means that you don’t need to plug in a separate cable if you are connecting them to sound equipment. I have bought two. Yes, they are a bit plasticky and light, but are surprisingly durable and comfortable.
