The siglent spd330c power supply contains three independent power supplies in one unit. As a true linear supply, output noise and regulation are excellent. With its intelligent temperature-controlled fan, noise is reduced. Voltage resolution is 10 mV/10 MA. The SPD3303C power supply comes with easy power PC software, supports SCPI commands and like all siglent instruments, has an available Labview driver.

    Accurate, works as expected.
I needed something more versatile and accurate for modern radio work than my old hand-made power supply could deliver. I paid more than I wanted to, but many of the more affordable supplies just didn’t have multiple outputs or the control, or were too toy-like in feel and function. The Siglent actually has a lab feel that closely resembles the controls on my Tektronix scope. I haven’t had an opportunity to do serious bench work with it yet, but I have used it to test a few light duty things and the supply works exactly as I would expect. So far, I am very happy with it, it’s only off by .01 volt according to my Fluke meter. For broadcast radio bench work, it’s an exacting instrument. If you need better precision than this, then you aren’t looking in this price range anyway. I felt I deserved a nice supply after years of working with old stuff and junk, I’m glad I took the dive. The feel of the controls is positive and sure, they work every time. Voltages stay where I set them, they don’t wander and I can set the current limits easily without argument from the supply. I’ve had some of the cheap supplies just fall out of the setting or completely not work or do other flaky things, the Siglent doesn’t do any of that, it’s steady as a rock. The display is nice, looks professional and not like a cheesy piece of kit from a toy factory and the fit and finish is good enough to compete with bench supplies at 10 times the cost. The leads supplied with it could be much better for something in this price range. Fortunately I have a set of self-made banana leads that are much more professional. That would be the only thing I would change about it. The dedicated 5 Volt output is nice for TTL work. This has been the biggest upgrade to my bench since getting my arbitrary signal generator last year. It’s been a long time coming. Thanks Siglent for making a mid-line supply that’s at least reachable by the common man with a budget salary. At least, it works much like a lot of the lab supplies I had the privilege to work with in tech school. I always wanted something like that for myself, but couldn’t afford the $3K to get one. Siglent brings it into reach for a few Bens. I hope it lasts as long as my self-made power supply has, which has been about 30 years.

Given the quality, accuracy, and features of the supply I highly recommend it
I really like this power supply and find it to be much higher quality than other popular supplies in the $200 price range.Pros:1. DC voltages were dead on using fluke multimeter.2. Area efficient for my workbench given its three amp output compared with other supplies.3. Oscilloscope tests showed no spiking of voltages at power on, when enabling channels, or when changing voltages. The voltage change was gradually ramped and controlled.4. Not a ton of relay switching as voltages were increased. There is also some hysteresis built-in so if the voltage is at a switch in point there is margin after it has been switched. If the channel is off you don’t hear any relay switching until you enable the channel which is nice.5. Oscilloscope tests showed noise was well within spec.6. Can set current limits without shorting supply terminals.7. It is extremely quiet, almost silent, for low current applications which is primarily what I use it for.8. All channels worked well, there was no issue with damage during shipping which seems to affected other reviewers.9. It’s nice to be able to individually enable each channel and also load previous voltage settings.10. I feel safe with this power supply in my home as it seems to be good quality. I get nervous about some of the other ones!11. I enjoyed speaking with the US customer service rep. He was quite helpful with my oscilloscope questions(from an earlier purchase) and gave me the impression that this company really does intend on being a professional lab equipment company rather than an Amazon hobbyist company.Quirks1. The read back sometime shows a voltage 10 mV lower (one LSB) than what you set it for. This is because it’s giving an accurate read back on what seems to be a mismatch for that particular quantization step. I actually appreciate the honesty of the display showing an accurate read back rather than what I set it for but I can see why people would miss the clean even number they set it for. I imagine they can add some granularity and sophistication to correct this but honestly I don’t care if my voltage is 5.00 V or 4.994 V as long as I know what it is in reality.Cons1. It’s 25 pounds which increases the chance of damage from shipping. However it seems most supplies with this current output are heavy. Mine arrived just fine at least but it seems another reviewer gave a negative review due shipping damage. I would recommend just exchanging with Amazon as both Amazon and the company seem to be pretty open and easy about handling such issues.2. Noise spec is slightly higher than supplies from Agilent. I measured 800uVrms. A lower current output Agilent supply I was looking at had a spec of 175uVrms but it was much more expensive. The noise of the supply is still low and good for my applications.Bottom lineGiven the quality and features of the supply I highly recommend it at this price point.

    Great addition to my testbench
This has actually become one of my most used pieces of equipment. It does everything from charging LiPo batteries to supplying power to various microcontoller projects.

    Reliability issue.
I am using few pieces of Siglent equipment in my home lab. Generally happy. But… this one burned in smoke after just 2 weeks of continuous light duty use, +-5V, 100mA on a tiny precision SMD circuit :(, killed two weeks of my work.Ok, fine, this happens (I am an EE) but Siglent did not respond to my requests regarding the warranty service and this is unacceptable.

Binding posts do not meet 3/4 inch standard spacing
The Binding posts do not meet 3/4 inch standard spacing. This renders all my existing test leads useless. The supplied test wires/leads are short and cheap. The settings of voltage or current jump up/down .01 constantly. Typical offshore quality. If this thing was 100 bucks fine, but for 300 it is crap. Feels cheap, looks cheap.

    Great Product!
Forgot to write a review. But have been using this power supply for a year now (testing at work) and it works fantastically! Very accurate and dependable. I recommend it highly.

    Nice Supply
I use this power supply on the bench for testing breadboards. It is fairly simple and easy to use. I tested the dynamic response and the two metered outputs (CH1 & 2) are fine (see first waveform). The 2.5/3.3/5V output (CH3) does not have good dynamic response (2nd waveform) but since it normally biases the logic or microcontroller, it may not see big steps. The step here is 1A to 3A and back. So, a decent power supply but be aware of CH3 dynamics.

All features and function tested and working out of box. Can’t wait to really put it through its paces. This review will be updated with any problems found, but I’m expecting smooth operation to be honest. The units certification date was only a few months age so it’s very recent as well, well packed. I will say for the price they could have at least included a few more sets of leads than the measly 2 they provide with the unit. The power cable is nice and flexible not one of those hard plastic coated cables.

Wenn man die Ausgänge mit einer Krokodilklemme oder einem Bananenstecker berührt, spielt die die Tastenbeleuchtung verrückt. ESD Impuls ? Ein Stern dafür, weil es ansonsten funktioniert. Ich schicke es zurück.
