I’m OBSESSED with my new Skullcandy Icon ANC headphones! As someone who’s always on-the-go, I need headphones that can keep up with me. These babies deliver! With 60 hours of battery life, I can jam out to my favorite tunes all day (and night) without worrying about them dying on me.The active noise canceling feature is a GAME CHANGER. Bought direct from Skullcandy of the noise around me, but not all of it. If I play with the app to switch between ANC on/off/stay-aware modes then it’s really apparent how much noise they are blocking. I just leave ANC on. The Low-Latency mode doesn’t appear to do anything and although my Pixel 9 support Bluetooth LE audio, these Icons do not seem to support Bluetooth LE so I don’t know how the Low-Latency mode is supposed to function without that support? That said, when connected to my TV I haven’t noticed lag, nor when playing Xbox. Although for Xbox I can instead connect them to my controller with the supplied wire and that will of course have 0 lag and doesn’t even require turning them on if I don’t want ANC.
Very heavy on the bass which is a plus if you want that sound profile, just be aware the highs and mids will be muted some for the increased bass. I highly recommend immediately installing the Skullcandy app and switching to the Bass Boost equalizer setting. At first I thought these Icons were too quiet until I switched to Bass Boost, then I was like ohhh ok that’s much better. Although IMO they could still be slightly louder at max volume.
