Sony Linkbuds Fit
Sony has done an excellent job with the design of these earbuds, hitting the mark in terms of aesthetics and innovation. The sleek, modern look makes them stand out, and the build quality feels solid and premium. However, there are a few aspects where the experience could be improved. The earbud tips, while functional, didnât provide the best fit for me. To achieve the comfort and seal I prefer, I had to invest in aftermarket tips. This added cost and effort could be a consideration for others with similar fit issues. The controls are another area that might require some adjustment. Compared to other Sony LinkBuds, these controls feel slightly more challenging to operate. While they eventually become intuitive with regular use, the initial learning curve might frustrate some users.Overall, these earbuds are a strong contender for anyone looking for stylish and innovative audio gear, but they may require some fine-tuning and patience to deliver their full potential.

Good product but still needs some improvement
So light and comfy, they don’t fall out during workouts, and the sound’s great. But, the Bluetooth cuts out sometimes, and the noise cancellation isn’t that good.

Great quality. Excellent charge. Second purchase, to leave one set at another home.

Great fit, good noise cancelling, good value
Took a while to figure out how to wear them. Don’t try to push them deep in ear (for me they work best when worn “superficially” with large buds).

For better sound, we get charged a lot of $
I loved these. They fit perfect in my ears. Then going into the Sony app., you get taken down a long road of other sign in’s and other verifications only to find out to listen to “360” music on app touch button, which is unbelievably amazing, then you pic a streaming app only to then pay between a $150 to $250 a year. They tease you with a phenomenal sound with a touch in the app, we should be warned about the ripoff, very very disappointed.

Not what I expected
After reading reviews I decided to purchase these to replace a pair of Beats Fit Pros that the dog got ahold of. They are light weight and feel really good in the ear. They stay put during a good workout, which is really nice. However, the sound quality is just OK. I do prefer the Beats (I know, weird, right?!) over these Sony’s. The biggest problem I have is the poor noise cancellation. These are no where near as good as the Beats. It’s not even a competition. These have been returned and I went with a pair of Bose QC Ultras for my workouts. Also picked up a pair of SoundPeats Capsule 3 Pro+ earbuds which sounds great due to the xMems drivers (not great for ANC or working out, but are cheap and sound GREAT).

Iâve got tiny ears so I donât have much to say about the âfinsâ (fitting supporters) because they donât fit inside MY ear at all BUT, still very comfortable nonetheless. The fitting supporters would fit someone with maybe average to above average sized ears especially when combined with the extra small ear tips included in the box.The charging case opens like a shell which Iâm not really a big fun of, much prefer the older modelâs case but I do like the dual finish-glossy top and matte bottom. In the case are the designated charging slots for the earbuds along with room for the fins which if you do decide take of the fins, the interior of the case is designed in way that earbuds will still be able to fit inside and charge. Really good design! The sound quality is decent i would say out of the box, but once you utilize the clear bass feature which you can find on the sound connect app, these can sound really good. I put clear bass at +9, lowered the mids by two notches, and bump the highs up 2notches, and for me, that sounds good.Noise cancelling is really good. You can still hear some low frequencies like heavy footsteps and some high frequencies like sirens but they are tuned down very low to the point of ALMOST being non audible. Maybe itâs just me but with anc on that clogged feeling around the eye and noise area is non-existent with these which is great for people who hate that feeling.Ambient mode is impressive. You turn it on and they feel like open earbuds, however the sound does shift once you do so, to more bass and less treble which can be jarring once you turn it off and all the bass goes away and the treble kicks in. This is the same with anc on but even more bass. The ear does readjust after some time though. The tap control feature can very unresponsive at times because they say you should tap in front of the ear or on the earbuds themselves to get it to work, but I find that repeatedly tapping on top of the ear as in the flabby cartilage part, works WAY better. Surprised thatâs not how the tap control was advertised.BY FAR my favorite thing on the linkbuds fit is the background music effect within the sound connect app. That âcafeâ effect is really really cool. That feature is 5 stars on its own!Overall they are good earbuds with decent sound outside the box, really good anc and impressive ambient mode which is a step up from the previous model. My only cons are that I wish they were smaller so they werenât so uncomfortable when laying on my side and since they stick out so much for me, they are very noticeable out in public which I donât like, but maybe thatâs just my small ears.Again, that background sound effect feature is amazing! Good job Sony.

These Sony Linkbuds are pretty awesome but they should be considering they come with a hefty price tag.I have had terrible luck with earphones and earbuds (all but one – my current ones, have stopped working or are not working properly; static, one ear is not functional, etc). Since these are so expensive, I am assuming these are of superior quality and should last a long time, hopefully a lifetime *fingers crossed*.Now I was very fortunate in obtaining this through Amazon’s Vine program, so Thank You Amazon! I am grateful because there is no way I would have been able to afford these otherwise. Their current price, at the time of this review, is a whopping and not too demure $299.99, which is at the very expensive range of any spectrum. The buds comes inside a very elegantly designed storage case; it literally looks like porcelean, and yes, these do look expensive. The moment I took one of the ear buds out of the storage case, it immediately initiated the Sony app to pop up on my phone (clever technology) and I ended up downloading it and signing up. Not sure if this is required since the bluetooth works well enough if you just want to listen to music. The buds are an excellent size for my ears. Small, compact, these fit perfectly snug. I would state these are some of the most comfortable ear buds I have ever owned and I have no issues with them falling out.The sound is also impressive. Crisp, clean, clear; in comparison to my previous buds, the difference here is immediately evident, these are superior. These buds boast in being noise cancelling and I have to hand it to Sony, they did an excellent job with these as these are the closest to noise cancelling as you can get. The tap controls are still a bit iffy but I am never able to master this feature on any of my ear buds so this is more a user issue and not really a product issue. Now the one area where these are similar to the cheaper alternatives is the battery life. The battery life once charged is not as impressive as its sound performance. These last a fairly long while but I’ve had much cheaper earbuds that lasted an eternity more when fully charged. However this is not that big of an issue considering I still get a few hours out of them which is not too bad. Also inlcuded are additional bud tips, manual, and charging cable type-C.Now are these worth the high and mighty price-tag? Dunno. Yes, these check off all the boxes in looks, performance; sound and features. But I cannot comment yet how durable and long lasting these are since they are still brand new. For the moment, the performance here is top notch, and the features and overall quality are excellent. If you can afford to spend $300 on excellent quality Linkbuds, then go for it. I will be taking good care of these and am hoping these last me forever and a day since I am loving the sound experience so far.

These things sound great! That said, it took some time to get them set up the way I wanted.I waited to review these for a couple of weeks, I wanted to get a real insight into the build and audio quality. The buds are small and fit nicely. The four different-sized gel options, one on the buds and three additional sizes in the kit allow for a nice fit. Once I got the right gels on them I was surprised at how well they stayed in the ears even when running or jumping. So far, I have not been able to make them pop out of my ears. The gels used here are very soft which allows them to make a nice fit in different sized and formed ears. In the app is a feature that allows the buds to test the seal made by the gels for each ear so that maximum sound quality is available. They are far more comfortable than those I have on other earbuds I’ve used over many years.Back to the setup. There are many features and options available once the Sony Sound Connect app is installed on my phone. There are so many items in the app that I could not do justice trying to list them all, but here are a few:⺠Besides providing excellent music audio, they are also an excellent replacement for standard phone earbuds, where there is one bud hanging out of an ear that has a hook attached to it, which becomes uncomfortable after a few hours, especially when wearing glasses.ð When used for phone calls, it’s easy to swap from one bud to another when a battery dies. I had this happen one day when it seemed the phone was ringing every 15 minutes, and the calls weren’t short. Yes, the battery in one earbud did not last as long as my other options, but I just had to swap the buds and insert the dead one into the case for charging.⺠Besides the usual functions when tapping the buds, these support voice commends.⺠The buds respond to “taps” that are within a certain distance of the actual earbud rather than actually tapping the bud itself.⺠By using head nods, I am able to answer and hang up phone calls.⺠The ambient function is great. I can easily make out what’s going on at home or in the office while still listening to music or while on a call.⺠There is the usual equalizer functionality with presets that are easily accessed and set up.⺠In the equalizer settings, there are the presets plus a manual and two custom slots.⺠The app has preset integration to music streaming apps – Amazon Prime, Spotify, and Endel plus it’s ready to enhance Ingress Prime gameplay.⺠In two weeks, there have been two firmware updates, which shows the level of support that Sony is providing. ***⺠While the case allows for charging both buds at the same time, it’s small but slippery. It can also be used in the pairing process.⺠Two external devices, a phone and laptop, for instance, can be connected at the same time.⺠I can choose the connection quality, Quality versus Stable connection. Since I never get more than ten feet from my phone, I go for quality.⺠In the app, I can see the battery state for each bud individually, plus the case battery. By using this battery state indicator, I can tell how many more hours I can use the buds before they power down while I’m on a call.⺠After probably an hour, there are still options I have not yet configured and will eventually work my way through. That said, right out of the box, these sound great, so the default that Sony uses has obviously been tested by real users.*** Updating the firmware has taken up to 40 minutes to download the software. Then, once it’s downloaded, the actual update takes about a minute, and the earbuds need to be turned on during that time. Fortunately, they are fully operational during the software download. Once the download finishes, I have to click ok to install the firmware, which allows me to control when this happens so my calls aren’t interrupted.â When using only one bud for phone calls, and the Ambient Sound control is on, I have a hard time telling that one ear has a bud in it. The sound reproduction and volume are that close.I know some of the other reviewers have complaints with certain aspects but I personally did not experience any of the issues they bring up.⦠Yes, the run time when listening to music is less than other options, but these are smaller than most other options, and those that are this small also have very short run times. When used for only phone calls, I easily get 8 hours of service with around three hours of actually being on calls.⦠One reviewer mentions them falling out of their ears. This is why there are four different sized gels in the kit. Once the right gels are installed, these things stay put. Also, by using the right size and getting a good seal, the bass really stands out because air can’t move in and out of the ear canal. There are a couple of things that I wasn’t overly impressed with.» My biggest peeve is the lack of a user manual and the difficulty I had finding one online. When I went to the URL shown in the very short instruction manual, the page wasn’t available. When I searched the Sony site, the only document that was available was the Environmental Assessment, which is totally useless when looking for info on setup and use of the earbuds. I finally just did a general search for the LinkBuds Fit user manual and was able to download it from a third-party site.» Configuring the “tap” settings for both buds is an option, but it is not easy to configure and requires integrating the app with my phone’s system, which is something I have never encountered previously. Normally the BT connection by default allows for this kind of connectivity. These are expensive and other than the two above-mentioned negative items, they are overall great, period! I have other high-end buds from other big brand name companies, and these stand above those other options when it comes to clarity and voice pick-up when used for phone calls.I have no problem recommending these to anyone who is looking for a high-end earbud solution that offers a huge amount of customization capabilities.

Sony is getting a little bit over themselves and needs to slow down a little bit because these earbuds have nothing extra than the LINK S, but the texture on top of the bud and how it goes in the ear I found very uncomfortable, and the touch feature works 1 out of 10 times. They are getting a little bit over themselves and need to slow down a little bit because these earbuds have nothing extra than the LINK S, but the texture on top of the bud and how it goes in the ear I found very uncomfortable, and the touch feature works 1 out of 10 times. They are very normal and basic buds. I found them even have some distortion when max volume is applied, and the sound is very basic; even the noise cancelling, I would myself prefer the LINK S and the WF-1000XM5 way better. and they’re too pricey for what they offer, honestly.not recommended.
