This power supply with its set of connectors is extremely handy when you’ve misplaced a power adaptor. or wound up with a laptop that doesn’t have one. It includes a very nice set of adaptors.

Gives the extra length others don’t!
I have had to replace two of the power bricks for some LED floor lamps. Only problem with the replacements is the length of the cord. The lamps originally came with power cables about 5 foot long. Replacements are on 30+ inches. Found these, and although I didn’t need all the adapters, now have a cord about the same size as came with lamp. Work great!

Very versatile
With this wall wort power supply you can select/ set almost any popular DC output voltage and with the large array of output tips youâll be able to fit almost any popular power/ charge input plug size. So if you want/ need a highly versatile power supple/ charger change my rating to five stars.But if you are looking for a replacement for a specific tip size/ voltage I would rate it as I did. The reason is the various tip sizes first have to plug into the end of the output cord. This results in a clumsy combine tip length and would be better to figure out your exact voltage & tip thatâs needed and order a âwall wortâ that meets those specs. Of course many non-techy people donât know their needed size. Given how many different sizes/ voltage there are these days⦠and the number of these charger a typical household has these days⦠buying one of these to both immediately replace whichever one failed⦠and once you trial & error the right tip⦠you can look at tip size thatâs stamped on the tip and go back to Amazon and order a wall-wort with âfactor orginalâ fit tip on the output cord.

DON’T USE WITH SENSITIVE ELECTRONICS!3V voltage swings of noise and ripple that seems to scale a little depending on which voltage state you select. On the 9V selection… a 3V ripple noise is 1/3 of the output voltage… like come on, ever heard of filtering??For now i’m back to using my B&K benchtop power supply and 9V batteries which going into the same wiring has no noise passing to my electronics. I designed my board for dealing with about -500mV ripple (-0.7V nominal due to the diode) and much more positive ripple since the positive side goes through a secondary 5V voltage regulator for the controls side… That is considerably much more ripple than you generally see on any even half decent power supply. Filtering calculations are not hard guys.I attached a photo of the output as taken by a nice oscilloscope I own. Note that the voltage per division is 5V. the noise you can see covers across most of a single square. The noise can be estimated as about a 3V ripple and is eliminated when connecting the ground of the soulbay to the ground of my benchtop power supply.I had actually been inspired to buy this because a coworker at my Electrical engineering internship had bought a previous version of the soulbay for our work to use and it seemed to be very economic. I liked the newer design having extra attachments but after finding out there was over 3V of AC noise on this new one, I tested the one that was purchased for work and it also has the same issue.Another poster also mentioned radio interference/EMI issues and as it seems this is simply a huge design flaw for this brand of power supply. This amount of noise is exactly why that poster would have seen the interference.

Great for some applications
The Soulbay power supply appeared very well constructed on the outside but would not work for my purpose.I loved the assortment of plug types and the construction of the cord. I wanted the unit to power a caller ID box which used four AA batteries. I soldered two wires to the battery connection on the circuit board and tried to connect them to the power supply using the flat plug with the two screw terminals. The first wire connected fine but one the second terminal was bent and would not allow the wire to be inserted. After a considerable amount of time I was able to get the second wire to insert in the terminal. After removing the the four batteries I set the unit to 6 volts and plugged it in. The unit powered up and I was able to program it. The phone worked fine but there was a hum on the line and the ID unit showed “Line error” instead of the number.I feel this was due to the power supply not being filtered enough to supply pure DC. This unit will probably work well for other applications that do not require such a pure DC source. I also like the small LED showing that the power supply is active.

Life saver
We lost the charging cord for our pool vacuum so I ordered this as a replacement. Itâs great!! We hadnât been able to use the pool vac until this arrived. It charged the vac quickly and it had been tucked away so this doesnât get lost. Great little product.
