    Wonderful Headphones for the price!
Unfortunately, I fall victim to being clumsy and often breaking / losing my headphones and earbuds- and when both my computer headset and everyday headphones broke, I almost died- and came to Amazon for a solution as many others before me have.I am a MAJOR FPS gamer. Specifically games like Overwatch and Call Of Duty. I had previously owned A pair of Steelseries Arctis Novas for my setup, and LOVED them. The sound quality is crisp and you’re able to clearly tell where players are.I also really like good music headphones. Previous to these headphones I had used Beats, which, were good music quality, but falling apart.Since I lose and break headphones a lot, I didn’t trust myself to go all in with an expensive headset. Through scrolling, I found these. Now, for the review.I LOVE THEM! They are very cozy. The material used for them do not feel cheap, and the speaker part of the headphones has lots of swivel opportunity. The cushioning is very well made, and with 4+ hour gaming sessions they do not ache my ears-they actually fit inside instead of the earmuffs instead of sitting on them!Audio wise, I can safely say, this is on par with my old Steelseries Headset. This is what really worried me, because crisp sound is very important in the games I play. Almost instantly, this headset proved it could handle that. It picks up all footsteps I need to watch out for gaming.Microphone wise, I use an external one at my desk, so I cannot entirely speak on it.As for music, this headset dominates that as well! Very rich in bass, and, if you download the app provided, you can boost it further which I adore! Vocals and everything are honestly, better than my Beats headphones. The noise cancelling is okay. It’s nothing Apple level, but it certainly is enough to drown out noisy roommates, bus rides, or food halls you encounter. The transparent mode is also very useful for when I have to unfortunately listen to what’s happening around me.Another very wonderful addition that I HIGHLY recommend is the app this headset comes with for phones. It controls the audio mixer for extra bass or less treble, has buttons for noise cancelling / transparent mode, and the best feature? You can connect multiple devices. It sounds basic, almost unneeded, but I didn’t realize how much such a small little addition goes. Game queue times too long? Thats fine, my headset is also connected to my phone so I can scroll tiktok. Need to leave your friends on call for a second? Still hear them and do whatever you needed downstairs with your phone. The battery life is also very nice! I only have to charge them every few days, even when I do have those longer gaming sessions! All in all, I HIGHLY recommend this headset if you are looking for a new reliable one to replace your old ones. With sound quality of headphones ranging 100$+ USD, this is an absolute STEAL! I have been practicing being gentle with them because I never want to break them.(P.S. For all my fellow computer users or gamers using this headset, I highly recommend connecting it through your computer’s Bluetooth, not headphone jack! Noise Cancelling is not available through headphone jack, and the audio sounds just the tiniest bit worse- nothing too irritating though! If you have an audio mixer app on your computer like me, there might be two options of headphones to pick from through Bluetooth. Do the STEREO audio option. You are welcome! :D)

Comfortable and work well, for the right price
I bought these headphones mainly for their noise-cancelling ability. They arrived in good packaging and seem to be reasonably well made, although they do not appear as robust as other headphones I have owned. I would have given them 4* because of this, but, for the price, I can’t complain. They are comfortable and fit well, which is a major plus as I have an above-average size head. My last noise-cancelling headphones barely fit and became painful after a few hours of use on a plane. I love the ability to charge these via USB. In a quick test, they seem to work very well, although I have not yet tested them on a plane. As is typical these days, the instructions are a bit cryptic. They came with a carrying bag, a short USB charging cord, and audio cables. The charging cord is likely too short for many instances, such as using on a plane.

    An Honest, Unbiased Review **UPDATED**
UPDATE, 2/29/20: Anker Customer Service has provided me an updated pair of the headphones for reevaluation. I have not experienced the popping issue at all with the new pair, so I am updating my rating to 4 stars. I still really enjoy the sound from these while ANC is on; strong, fun bass, and not at the expense of the mids and treble. Also, customer service also sent me replacement earpads in the event that they fail over time.Once again, I cannot say enough about how amazing Anker’s customer service is. Many companies out there could learn a lot from how much they want their customers to be satisfied!UPDATE, 1/31/20: Unfortunately these are being returned, for 2 reasons:1) I’m getting the popping noise whenever I take off the headphones while playing in ANC mode (which is always). This simply cannot happen for headphones at any price point, much less $60.2) I can see already that the earpad leatherette covering is beginning to pull away from the housing. Since receiving the headphones, I have treated them with kid gloves, so in less than 2 weeks time I’m already beginning to see potential for long term build quality issues. So, as with other reviewers, bummed that these just don’t live up to Anker quality. Leaving them at 2 stars as they are serviceable, but not a long term gamble I’m willing to take.ORIGINAL REVIEW, 1/25/20:We live in a world of excess. Headphones are a prime example of this. Not only are there many “name brand” manufacturers of headphones out there (Sony, Bose, Beats. et. al.), there are now endless “no-name” brands peddling junk. There are a handful of companies trying to find some middle ground, TaoTronics, Mpow, and, of course, Anker Soundcore. When it comes to headphones, at least for me, is value for price paid. Without a doubt, the more expensive headphones by Sony & Bose offer the best quality across the board, but they’re not such a great value, at least for my needs. And to go super cheap with no name brands is a waste of time, as you’ll make major sacrifices. Anker is trying to establish itself as the sweet spot for solid value without making too many sacrifices.Like other reviewers, I have used other Anker products, some good, some not so good. Their charging products are nothing short of spectacular. Their audio products, on the other hand, have always been hit or miss. I decided to take a chance on the Q20 headphones because A) they are a few generations in, so hopefully Anker has made improvements over time, and; B) they sit at a great price point (between $40-60 depending on timing). Not cheap, but not astronomical either. So after using them for a week, and making the decision not to return them (I have returned countless headphones), I wanted to share my first impressions. Maybe these will change over time as the build quality ages, or sound quality evolves with burn-in, but I wanted to try and help those on the fence with some honesty rather than the endless one line five star reviews.PROSComfort. While these are in no way portable, they are fairly light and not overly bulky. Most of the cheaper over-ears are simply too much like earmuffs in an attempt to maximize comfort and/or improve sound quality.Sound Quality. This one is both a pro and a con, so I will come back to this below. For the most part, I enjoy the sound quality on these. Admittedly, I like extra oomph in the bass, and these are definitely bass headphones.Battery Life. Gave them a full charge when I received them, and probably won’t need to charge them again for likely…weeks. Since I only use them at work and occasionally around the house, I expect the battery to last quite a while.Value. So far, I feel like I am getting every cent out of my investment in these. Sure, they are not perfect (as you will see below), but for the price paid, they are meeting my expectations.CONSNoise Canceling. Yeah, Anker threw in noise canceling as that feature is hot right now. It’s there, but it’s mediocre. Would I trust it if I was a frequent traveler? No. That would be worth an investment in Bose or Sony. But at work and around the house, it’s fine. I haven’t encountered the popping issues other reviewers have experienced, so I will have to wait and see on that.Build Quality. This is where Anker was able to keep the price point low. These aren’t the most solidly built, but they are passable so long as they are handled decently. A case would have mitigated this, but again, cost. The buttons are not the best, and over time I can tell that these will likely be the first things to fail.Sound Quality. Here is where I will contradict myself. There is a discernible difference in the bass level between noise canceling being off vs. on. When off, the cans really thump with bass, which is great when listening to pop, hip hop, or EDM. It’s too overpowering for most rock songs, as it drowns out pretty much everything else. It’s still listenable, but gets exhausting after awhile. With noise canceling on, it’s better, but it seems like the sound quality degrades somewhat with the added layer of processing. Not a steep decline, but it does mean that I leave the noise cancellation on all the time, which will result in the battery dying quicker. Not a deal breaker.TL;DR: So overall, I recommend these headphones if you are looking for a solid pair of cans at a reasonable price, KNOWING WHAT YOU ARE BUYING. These are not going to give you superior performance on any feature, except for battery life. They are definitely acceptable for what you’re paying for, and so long as the build quality holds up, should meet your needs for a couple of years. And if not, Anker has an 18-month warranty on defects, and their customer service is A+.

The noise cancelling is good, sound levels are fine, not heavy on the head, nor is it clunky, Bluetooth connection is fast and never troubles, easy to bring around, and the material is sort of cheap feeling if I were to nit-pick but it’s enduring greatly!Overall good pair of headphones. Likely not the best for audiophiles though.

I needed a new set of headphones to replace a set of Sony’s that I’ve had for a few years. I came across these on here, and added them to my basket along with a few other pairs, and then began checking out the reviews on here, followed by some on YouTube. All reviews on YouTube seemed extremely positive and were actually stating that these punched well above their weight, especially at the price, many reviewers stating they’d pay two or three times the price, so I returned to Amazon, deleted the others in my basket and ordered these.Delivery was next day and on-time, and arrived in perfect condition, no problems there. The headphones are light, look modern and cool, and the materials all feel high quality, although it’s subjective comfort for me personally was excellent, and the fit was perfect, these are light and comfy, the padding all around is soft and supple, great for long use, with no discomfort, I used them for seven hours straight on the day they got delivered, and I’ve tried them out with my glasses, no problems with the fit or comfort there either.I’ve had the headphones for a week now, and have tried them with my record player, PS5, TV, laptop, projector, and mobile phone. Connection is straightforward and simple for each device, with no drop outs or connection issues. I’ve taken a few phone calls though the headphones now, not one caller has mentioned I sound ‘funny, distorted, quiet or unclear’ infact, nobody has mentioned a thing, so they can’t tell I’m using headphones, and I can hear every caller loud and clear.I’ve been really impressed with the sound quality with these, but initially thought the bass may be too overpowering for the kind of music I like, but I soon became accustomed to this, and love it now. I don’t use the bass boost, as it’s not needed for me, but it’s there’s for all the bassheads, and I’m sure it’s a feature they’ll like. These are my first noise cancelling headphones, so I can’t compare that feature to other (much more expensive) headphones, it’s not a feature I really use, as I tend to use these in quiet areas when alone, but the feature does work, as I blocked out some noisy neighbours one night, so it would be useful for any other users, the over ear pads dampen the outside world quite well by themselves too, (noise cancelling only works when connected via Bluetooth, and not when connecting with the supplied aux cable. The sound through these are rich and clear, I don’t think you’d get a better pair of headphones at this price point to be honest, which the many YouTube reviews correctly stated. You will probably see reviews on here from audiophiles detailing the finer intricacies of frequencies, sound stages, balances, trebles, rolling highs, lows, mids and all the like, you know the ones…..but I ask, why are you buying a pair of £32 headphones, when it’s clear you are looking for a lot more specification (and price) wise, I’d say ignore those, and don’t let the over analysers put you off, they have unrealistic expectations, these sound excellent for the price, just check out the YouTube reviews from people who test many different comparable products, you’ll be hard pressed to find many negative ones.Fantastic battery life, 40hrs with active noise cancelling, 60 houra without. I’ve had to charge them once in a week, after many hours of use, and the quick charge feature is amazing and very useful, 10 minutes charge giving you 4 hours of battery life. This model is not compatible with the Soundcore app, so you won’t be able to use that to adjust the equaliser settings. I was aware of this before purchase, because I read the reviews and specifications on here, and on the Anker website, easily done before purchase, and it wasn’t an issue for me, as I can download an app, or use and EQ on my laptop, to be honest, they sound just fine from the factory setting. If you want the app compatibilty buy the next model up, Q20iI would highly recommend these to family or friends without hesitation, knowing they’ll love them. It’s my first Anker SoundCore product, so it’s always a worry when you try a new brand, but glad I did, and will look for one of their speakers next, and buy happily without any worry about the quality.Like everything else when you’re looking to buy something, TVs, computers, cars, there’s always gonna be people who want the very best, (we all do want that for our money of course) and these won’t meet that need for the serious audiophiles, that must have, or need the top features and specs, but remember you’re not paying top money for these, and for the price, you’ll be getting the best you can for your money. No matter what you’re buying, when you read some reviews, they are never good enough for some people, and have unrealistic expectations, and can put you off purchasing when doing your research, but I don’t think these will disappoint the majority of buyers at all.Hope you enjoy them as much as I am.

Bon produit.
