Good budget tablet – with trade-offs
I needed a second tablet for some volunteer work that I do. I didn’t want to spend much money, but I also needed something that would get the job done and be reliable. For that purpose, it has worked well enough. The screen isn’t as sharp as my primary tablet, but I wasn’t expecting much for less than $100.A couple of observations: I’ve had some difficulty finding a case that fits this. There are “universal” 10-inch Android cases, but the first one I tried didn’t quite fit (the second one did). Also, the expandable card expansion has the possibility of being a big deal if that’s important to you. There’s a possibility that I may need to store a large amount of information on this tablet and purchasing a name brand tablet with 200+GB of storage would have been very expensive for me.If you need or want to buy new (or the expandable storage is important to you), this may be a decent option. If none of those things are necessary, the best alternative to this is probably to buy a used name brand device. My primary tablet (an iPad) is about 5 years old and performs just as well as this does for most tasks. This also, however, has the advantage of being new and having a new battery that lasts longer.

Okay let start with what they have done right with this thing.First off it does come with android 14 on it so good. As far I can tell it does have wifi 5 so check there.Next it does come setup with only 4GB of very slow system RAM then the other 9GB is a RAMdisk on the system partition. SO not that great. The screen is not even 1080P or even 720P. But it is nice and bright however it gets washed out much more than 50% brightest settings. The CPU does have a 6 core ARM a7 cheapest. But the GPU part is vary lacking big time. Also there is no light level sensor in it so you have to change the brightest setting yourself and because of that your battery run time will be impacted. As for how well it can do thing will let’s put it this way the system lags going between screens like the lurcher and the app drawer and due to the touch panel they used it sometimes will not see a swap up and might take a few times to get to work. And all that is due to the lake of system RAM because RAM disks are fine in a pinch but storage is always going to be way way slower then hardware RAM. So a lot of why I can’t do much with is due the fact there is not enough system hardware RAM on it. So it lags out whenever it has to swap in and out of the RAMdisk. I mean I could not get youtube to play any better then 480P at 30 FPS and still be watchable. Also the storage is very slow I was getting around 600Kbp/s on wrights and around 900Kbp/s reads. Now I could not tell you if it was due to put of that being tasked with a RAMdisk or not as i could not find anywhere a ROM that I could reflash it back to the way it comes out the box. I even emailed them and still have yet got anything back from them in over a month now. So unless you just want a big slow e-reader then sure go for it but just save like 40 bucks more and get a Fire tablet from Amazon. Yeah those have there issues but at least there you will get fast support if something goes wrong.
