It works, and it’s cheap.
The title really says it all. I slapped it onto a old Gigabyte Ivy Bridge motherboard with a Xeon CPU, and it worked right out of the box at the full 1600 speeds without tinkering with the BIOS. The case has a lot of air flow, and it’s not going to be overclocked so heat spreaders are not really needed.

So many bad reviews, very few have merit.
Amazon hit me on this one with the same day delivery selling tactic, and it was actually delivered the same day. There are several DOA reviews… CAN CONFIRM these are shipped WITHOUT ESD wrap (glad it made it across the pond from Taiwan OK)When I pulled out the package after reading all the reviews while waiting for delivery, I will admit I was worried. One of the modules was not seated in the package properly, so it was being jostled around loosely for who knows how long… and there were “stress wrinkles” in the packaging so I feared that I would be posting another DOA review. However, I installed the pair and I now have 20GB total RAM. The read/write times are just as impressive as the big name manufacturers. I installed these in a Dell XPS board without issue. The only worry looming at this point is the multiple reviews of the chips dying after a month or 2. My system is on almost 24/7 so they’re going to get a run for their money. Hopefully I won’t be updating this review with less stars.Update: Hope i don’t jinx myself by posting this… But over 6 months in, and these units are still performing 100%. Think i might upgrade to the 32GB kit. But i think I’m going to wait until i get a new board with a newer DDR form factor. Teamgroup will certainly be the brand I’ll buy.

Works, but with a caviat.
I initially got these because I wanted to update some old Dell SFF workstations. So if you’re updating a non full tower or mid tower desktop, or even if you are, check your specs. These are 1.35v DIMMs and will not work in systems that require DDR3L DIMMs. HOWEVER! These worked flawlessly in an old custom rig that I am thinking of reviving and turning into a Linux gaming box. So because they work as intended and survived a torture test or two, they get 5 starts. And I get zero stars for forgetting to RTFM.
