    Not good for transcribing
Unfortunately, I’m returning these headphones.I found them to be comfortable, and I like that they use USB-C to plug in. However, they don’t work nearly well enough for my needed purpose. I’m a transcriptionist, so I listen to audio files and have to accurately type all the speech in the files I’m listening to. There’s something weird about these headphones were sometimes a word or two will not come through. I realized this once when I skipped back a few seconds and heard a word where I’d only heard silence before. Then, skipping back to relisten a third and fourth time, the word was again not there. Using my other headphones, I could hear the missing word(s) clearly.I was trying to find a good pair of corded headphones so I don’t have to always use my Bluetooth headphones. I tried to keep using these for a while, and I would go back and relisten with my other headphones to try to catch any speech I missed with these ThinkWrite headphones. That just became too much of a pain, and I cannot work with these headphones. Also, the sound overall is rather poor quality. I’m not even as picky as some about sound quality, but these really do not sound great.Another nitpick is that these headphones offer no volume control. Many headphones nowadays will have a volume-control wheel on the headset itself or on the cord. This headset has neither, and you must control the volume on your computer or whatever device you’re using these with.Lastly, while the ear cups do offer a small degree of noise reduction from external noise, the headphones are not noise cancelling, and they only very slightly reduce environmental noise while you’re wearing them. So, if you’re not in a quiet environment, you’ll likely have trouble with environmental noise interfering with your audio.I did not use the microphone with this headset, so I can’t speak to the quality of the microphone. If you need these for a more casual use (not professional transcribing), these headphones may be okay for you, but in my opinion, they’re overpriced for the quality they offer. It’s too bad, because I’m somewhat picky about the feel of my headsets and their sturdiness, and these ones are comfortable and seem sturdy, and they’re also nice looking.

Good Headphones, But Make Sure Your Device Is Compatible With a “(3.5mm TRRS Jack)”
These headphones are not Bluetooth or USB, and it is very important for all potential buyers to make sure their devices are compatible with a 3.5mm TRRS jack before buying it. One person posted a one-star review only because he expected the headphones to have a USB connector, yet the item description for these headphones clearly states it has a 3.5 mm plug. There is no mention of a USB connector in the item description. That seems unfair to me and Amazon should consider removing that review because it is a worthless apple to oranges comparison. The only device in my home that I could connect these to was my laptop which is a HP ZBook Studio G3 Mobile Workstation running Windows 10. After plugging in the headphones, I tried testing them out by making a video/voice call with WhatsApp, but couldn’t get them to work. So I went into Windows 10 advanced audio settings and noticed that the mic volume was super low. I raised the mic volume setting to the maximum level and then tried making my call again. This time the sound was really clear for me, and it was also very clear to the person I was talking to. I tested these out inside a quiet room inside my house, so I really can’t rate the noise cancellation quality. One of these days I’ll test that feature out in a coffee shop and will update this review with the results. These headphones are NOT Blue Tooth, but sometimes less technology is better. I’ve had connection problems before using Blue Tooth headphones while using my computer that sometimes forced me to reboot the computer. That would be a pain if I was ever in a conference or having an important phone call. Although wireless headphones give us more freedom of movement, the corded headphones most likely will never fail when connected to a computer. The mute feature when you lift the microphone could be really useful at times if you are working remotely and need to speak to someone personally in your home. These headphones are feather light and very comfortable, and they are amazing for the price. They are perfect for voice communication. I am not a gamer, so I can’t rate them for gaming. As far as music goes, they are adequate, but I don’t think this company is marketing them for music. For myself I will use these for communication while using my computer, and will use my higher quality Bose headphones to listen to music. Most of the reviewers who rate these headphones three-stars or below complain they feel, look and sound cheap etc. etc. Well, let’s face it, they ARE cheap headphones. $36.99 delivered to your door is pretty darn cheap, but then again I think they are pretty darn good headphones for that price.

Aesthetically mundane, but some quality features (make sure your device supports the connector!)
I have to admit, when I first pulled these out of the package my first thoughts were that they felt a bit inferior, in terms of material and general design. But the true value of this headset lies in the features you can’t see.First, they’re very comfortable and lightweight. Also, they are very comfortable. Yes I know I already said that, but it’s worth saying it again.Second, the sound quality is spectacular.Last, but not least, is a clever little feature where the mic automatically mutes when you lift it up. Seems like a minor function, but there’s some attention to detail in that design. The cord could be a bit longer and I only have one device that supports the connector jack type. This is not USB. It’s a 3.5mm TRRS jack. So make sure you do a little research if you don’t know what that means. So, not pretty, but pretty good quality.

Not USB and VERY short cord
First off it is not USB, so I have no clue how it will light up as the description says. I believe it is 3mm plug. If I had a port for it on my computer, it would still not work, as I would have to stit on the floor to use them. To be honest they are useless to me. So I can not say how or if the features work.
