Decent Budget Earbuds, so far
Full disclosure: TOZO reached out based on a previous purchase to request I try these out. A review was requested but not required.UPDATE @ Two Weeks: I have used these for several hours now, as gaming earbuds connected to my Steam Deck. Connectivity continues to be consistent and reliable. Comfort over more than an hour was decent. The sound quality has been good, and I really like them with my Steam Deck/gaming. Battery usage has been solid but I haven’t yet used them enough to deplete them…. I have no reason to believe they would not last several hours on a single charge.I just received these earlier this evening and haven’t had a lot of time to assess their quality, so this will be a kind of first impressions review. After using them for a few days, I’ll add an update to this as a follow-up.The most important thing to me for earbuds and headphones is sound quality. The TOZO OpenEgo earbuds are fine. You’re not going to get over-the-ear, wired high-end headphone quality with these. If that’s what you’re looking for, keep looking. For what they are, non-in-ear (not bone conduction) earbuds put out some pretty decent sound. I listened to a bit of music, and a podcast, and the sound was clear; the music’s (some Death Angel and Ghost) low end was fairly well represented, and I found it completely sufficient (high praise, I know).Bluetooth connectivity: quick and consistent connection so far. I’ve only connected to my cell phone at this point.Comfort: very comfortable, and for a rather sedentary user, these fit very well. I get the feeling if I was a jogger or something else “active” these would work well for me.Build/materials: initial impressions are solid. The case feels well made, as do the buds themselves.Power: a bit of an early hiccup here. Ostensibly, the case charges wirelessly, but using the TOZO W1 charging pad that was part of this promotion, they don’t seem to charge very well. A USB-A to USB-C cable came with the earbuds so I assume that will be the best option to charge the case. I will need to follow up on the battery life of the earbuds themselves. So far, I’ve used sparingly, and they’ve drained the case by about 9%, which seems high. Again, I’ll follow up when I have a better sense of how well they manage power consumption.Overall: a decent showing at $40 (a discount, I assume, that will be relatively consistent, off the “MSRP” of $50… a price at which these start feeling iffy). They are good for what they are but not outstanding. I’ll know more in the next few weeks.

Sono cuffie sportive a conduzione aerea (non ossea), comode sia per lo sport che per le passeggiata all’aria aperta o alla guida, in quanto permettono di ascoltare i rumori esterni durante le chiamate o la riproduzione musicale. Gradevoli estremamente semplice e e facili da indossare, non danno fastidio nemmeno dopo qualche ora e sono abbastanza stabili durante l’utilizzo sportivo. La qualità dell’ascolto in chiamata è buona così come la riproduzione della nostra voce all’interlocutore. Tuttavia è importante che le cuffie siano ben posizionate e che non ci siano forti rumori esterni. In questi casi la situazione peggiora leggermente, ma restano comunque valide. La riproduzione della musica è di buon livello, considerando che siano cuffie aperte, grazie al driver da ben 16,2 mm di diametro e l’applicazione Tozo è al top per quanto riguarda l’equalizzazione e la condivisione dei vari filtri. Ottima la durata della batteria e veloci i tempi di ricarica. Nel loro ambito hanno davvero pochi rivali considerando il rapporto qualità – prezzo. Consigliate!
