Iâm giving this five stars so as not to poop on someoneâs basically good product, but itâs designed to work with the stick-on metal ring provided. My phone is already in a silicone case which nothing will stick to, and without the ring the magnet just isnât strong enough to hold the phone tight.

This mounted securely and gripped the phone well, but I decided to go with a MagSafe mount for charging convenience. Is it worth another $12 to avoid having to plug in the charge cable? That’s up to you.

I purchased this without looking at the vents closely. The vent I wanted to use this for unfortunately is vertical, but my husband may be able to use it. Beware that sometimes the vent rod breaks.
