Definitely a hitâ¦maybe too much
This is a major hit with my 2 yr old granddaughter. My daughter and I didnât want to get her a tablet, but this was too good to pass up. Of course her watch time is limited especially because her head is down a lot and that will affect the development of her neck, eyes and brain.That said, she loves her tablet.If you are an Apple user, setup will be hard due to not being familiar with an android device, but if this 51 yr old can figure it out, anyone can.I am giving it 4 stars as I am concerned with 2 things:Battery lifeKeeps getting hotThe battery dies even when not in use. At night I will take it away and close all the apps and put it to sleep. It will have 60% battery life and the next day it will be drained dead. Itâs happened twice now and now I am paying closer attention.The tablet is hot most of the time using it, which concerns me. So after 30 mins I have to give it a rest. Iâm going to give it a few more days to see if thatâs really a problem.Other than that, it works pretty well for a toddler or younger child. It seems sturdy with a good case. I definitely would recommend it as a first time tablet for a young child, if getting them a tablet is something you are considering.

I’ve been forced to come back here and down grade this to 1 star. The rating would be zero stars if it was allowed.This device was pre-setup for Christmas so it would work out of the box. Initial setup seemed uneventful, but I did notice some problems with some well known apps stating that it wasn’t connected to the internet even though it was. Strange.Anyways, I finish setting up the device and verify that the streaming apps that my 5 year old is most interested in work and I box it back up.Christmas day arrives and it turns into a disappointing and frustrating experience for both my sweet daughter and myself.Whatever jankey software is on this thing, it does not work properly as it relates to WIFI and bluetooth connections.Stay away!Now I have to find something else for her after Christmas and explain to her why Santa would bring her a broken tablet.For anyone wondering if it was me or my wifi combined with not knowing how to work the tablet….well that’s not the case. I’m a I.T. Admin and network engineer. My home network is a fully managed Ubiquiti network. This device’s inability to connect and stay connected has nothing to do with my network, but rather it’s an internal hardware/software issue.I also forgot to mention that the battery life on this is about 1 hour of actual usage…maybe two depending on the screen brightness. In the time span it took me to write this review, the battery has got from 99% to 95%. It did not take me long to re-write the review.

Crazy small
This kids tablet is soooo small, itâs 7â and my iPhone 15 is 6.1â so not a big difference whatsoever. Itâs just like a cell phone just with sâmore heavy duty case attached to it. My5year old says itâs way too small to be able to do anything on it, he canât play games or watch YouTube or whatever he does on his iPad bc the screen is too small. The graphics are nice though. I personally would say pass on this.

It’s actually a real tablet.
I was surprised that this is a real tablet running android. I thought for sure it would be more “dumbed down” but it’s not. We home-school our kids and my youngest is 6 now and we started using some online courses and apps to expand the curriculum. This runs those apps easily. I just had to go through and lock down the parental controls so he doesn’t get into something he’s not supposed to use.Really, this is a great price for what you get.

This small tablet works great. It was easy to set up. The games play fine. There is no lag. The color in the screen is good. The sound is great and loud. The buttons don’t stick. The video and picture quality is good. This little tablet works as it should without any hiccups so far.

Grandparents’ Secret Weapon: The ‘Make Them Think You’re The Cool One’ Tablet!
Got this tablet for the grandkid and let me tell you, it’s like having a digital Mary Poppins. It comes with two personalities: the general Android side for when you’re feeling brave, and are ready for wide open access to the interwebs.And the kid-friendly Weelikeit side that’s like having a virtual babysitter who actually knows what they’re doing. The parental controls are NOT thorough enough to keep the little ones from accidentally buying a car or 31 cheeseburgers online (true story!).The protective case will currently do its job, though I’m starting a betting pool on which corner will be the first casualty of toddler curiosity. The handle is great for tiny hands, even if it does seem to be tempting fate with its “pull me!” design. For the price point, it’s perfect for grandparents who want to maintain their “coolest grandparent” status without breaking the bank. Plus, when the kids are occupied, you might actually get to finish a cup of coffee while it’s still hot! Fair warning though – this might set a dangerous precedent for gift-giving expectations at future holidays.
