Boots fast, easy to set up WSL Linux
I thought I’d try a cheap laptop alternative. I hooked up a portable monitor to the Trycoo WI-6 Mini PC, with a wireless travel keyboard/mouse and there it is. Yes, I found I needed a video camera/microphone too. You know, Zoom. But I can use it to write code on a WSL Debian instance like I’d never left a “true” Linux system behind. It’s working like a gem.

All you need for a great price!
Thus is my first mini desktop computer. Setup was easy and it performs all my tasks without breaking a sweat. Connected to all externals, wifi, bluetooth and USBs. It is fast enough to tackle my audio recording and video projects which are not intense but still i am surprized by the power this has. Very Small enough to take with you anywhere and it is barely audible.

Itâs been like 2 months itâs starting to get a little slower but thatâs kind of expected once you download stuff . Overall amazing buy though. BEWARE! when you boot it up, some of the windows language will be in Korean i think ð I canât tell the difference between Asian languages sry ð but yeah it wonât be in English. pretty sure you can change it because i did so partially but, some of the language will still b different and Iâm to lazy to fix it any more. This will not run high games like cod at all ð but it can run lower end games like Minecraft nicely at medium quality settings.

Was great when they all worked! Now I’m down to 1 of the 3
I had purchased 3 of these. One for my granmother so she could surf the web without having a bulky tower.. didn’t even last a year. So I gave her another one a few weeks ago & it loads up but once you try to move the mouse it completely freezes up & shuts off.. then about a hour & a half later it randomly turns itself back on.. So I have not had free time to see what could be the issue.. which I’m thinking that one might be on its way out too.. & the third one is running as it should. No issues yet…

|Editare esta review dependiendo como me esté rindiendo con el producto|He de admitir que estaba un poco escéptico con este producto debido a que es de una marca “China”, pero me sorprendió la calidad del producto que recibÃ. Ya que le dado uso durante casi un mes, hay cosas a destacar aquÃ, las cuales serian:1.-Este producto es ideal (e incluso sobra) para para trabajos de ofimática, edición básica de audio, y algún que otro programa no tan exigente a nivel de procesamiento “gráfico”.(Ojo, hago énfasis en la palabra “Gráfico”, ya que en “Photoshop CS6” (configurado para estar optimizado) da tirones en la edición de imágenes de mas de 2K de resolución (3840Ã2160 pixeles) y 4K (4096Ã2160 pixeles), pero supongo que también influye en el rendimiento, es por tenerlo instalado en disco duro externo al igual que las imágenes que edito)(“Specs” del disco duro: WDC WD5000LPVX-22V0TT0 500.1 GB / 5400 RPM / Modo de transferencia :SATA/600 | SATA/600 / Tamaño Buffer: 8192 KB)2.-Otro punto seria su “Ventilador”, el ruido que desprende estando en “reposo” (sin ejecutar ningún programa) es casi equivalente a la de una “PS4” recién comprada estando en “Stand-By” pero un poco menos escandaloso; Asà que es recomendable que estés en un entorno no tan alto de temperaturas y si te es posible, limpiarlo cada cierto tiempo para que el polvo no lo estropee.(Recomiendo cambiar el sistema operativo a uno mas de tu gusto personal si deseas hacerlo, para acceder a la “BIOS” hay que presionar la tecla “Esc” durante el encendido. El tipo de arranque para instalar un sistema operativo tiene que ser “UEFI”, ya que el método “LEGACY” no lo soporta.)3.-En este punto quiero recalcar que es IMPORTANTE actualizar los drivers de esta Mini-pc, ya que por defecto vienen desactualizados algunos drivers(Un cambio que note fÃsicamente en el Mini-pc al momento de actualizar todos los drivers, es la notable reducion del ruido del “Ventilador”)4.-Es posible cambiar el SSD M.2 y la memoria RAM, aunque el limite real de cada uno seria:SSD M.2 SATA3 – La de cualquier capacidad pero de tamaño de 60 mm-RAM – El limite que permite el procesador es de 16 GB, DDR5 a 4800 MT/s (Esta Mini-pc tiene 1 ranura para memoria ram). (Editado 26/01/24)En mi opinión, vale totalmente la inversión en esta Mini-Pc.
