I have an aftermarket adapter that allows me to hook my Nintendo Switch up to HDMI ports on TVs without the docking station. However, regular USB-C wouldn’t work and the Switch would give an error message. This one was recommended as it supplied the necessary voltage.

Update (March 29th, 2023):It’s been 2 months and not much to report! The charger is still worthy of my initial 5âï¸ review. It has held up tremendously after being stepped on, swung around, and chewed on over time. LOL. One thing I do want to mention that I’ve learnt since my purchase: You MUST plug it in to the wall directly! No surge protectors or extension cords. Enjoy!Original review (January 20th, 2023):My 7 yr. old unfortunately lost the original charger that came with the OLED model Nintendo Switch we got her for her birthday. After reading a few reviews for similar chargers sold here on Amazon, I decided on this one and Iâm glad I did. Weâve currently owned this replacement Switch charger for 1 week, (at the time of this review) so I canât speak to the durability of it quite yet. It definitely seems to be a very well made product thus far. My daughter was previously complaining that her Switch wouldnât hold a charge properly if she played it while it was plugged up. We found out via Google that the type of charger we were using wasnât sufficient enough to power the Switch. THIS charger completely solved the issue!! Now, she can play again while the Switch is charging AND the battery lasts much longer than before when docked and/or in handheld mode. I am extremely happy with my purchase, but I will update my review if that changes. I am also including pictures of the box I received the charger in, front and back.

Simply Amazing
I borrowed my daughter’s switch charger to charge my phone and asked for it back forcing me to buy my own. I saw this charger hoping for the best. What I got was a charger that charged my phone extremely fast without heating up my phone! It’s not a deal breaker for some but I always worry what damage is being done when heating up my phone but not so here. I can be down to say 47% plug in charger & then I’ll check say 15min later & I’m fully charged & my phone remains cool to the touch, I love this charger! I’ve purchased about 5 different chargers this past year for various items but I’m going to try this charger on multiple items & if it fits, I’m buying more!

We lost our charger that came with our Nintendo Switch. We didn’t think much of it at first and decided any regular USB-C charger would work. It did for charging but when using the dock, it simply wouldn’t connect, and I tried every USB-C charger I had. I decided to buy one online and came across this one. I was skeptical at first, wondering if it would or wouldn’t support the dock for HDMI. But am I glad I did. It supported it perfectly and was about half the price at the time of the original when I bought it. Wondering if there’s a special chip which allows it to connect with specific adapters. I have no cons for this product. It does everything I need from charging to gaming on TV with Nintendo Switch Dock with flying colours at half the price. Charging is also fast enough for anyone and since it’s USB-C, it can charge Nintendo, laptop, my phone and even an RC car! Would recommend to anyone looking at this for any of these purposes and am not disappointed at all. Easy 5/5.
