Maxwell, who has maintained her innocence, was sentenced to twenty years in jail in 2022 for intercourse trafficking.
Epstein was arrested by federal authorities in July 2019 and charged with sex-trafficking counts. Shortly after, he died by suicide whereas awaiting trial.
